@JaredRog00 @PradeepBonde I always find my setups on the daily chart, but once it breaks a level I drop down to a 5-minute chart to pinpoint an entry.

@PradeepBonde Do you ever do any day trading Pradeep? And how often if ever do you look at intraday charts?

For me personally I don’t see any problem. For day trader it might need adapting. Just because market is up 24 hour does not mean there will be lot of participants during non office hours trading.

@PradeepBonde What about 24hr trading how do you think that will affect the market

@iNeeraj_Gupta @PradeepBonde That's how I began to feel about it. Everyone is always talking about making sure you're focusing on the correct theme. But if you're only taking breakouts on proper setups then you're already looking at the correct theme.

Thanks for talking about this. Exactly the same observations I had over the years. I only look for strong stocks and trade them. Leading stocks place me automatically into the right theme at the right time. My final few picks automatically tend to show concentration in sectors even though I did not bother about it during the selection process.

Clear in your mind whether you want to be momentum trader or sector rotation trader. Understand how sector rotation is calculated and you will have no issues. A stock with momentum does not care about the sector. A stock can have reason specific to itself for a move while rest of sector is lagging. Besides that by the time sector relative strength is apparent most of the stock in it have already moved. Just think through and decide on either approach that works for you.

@PradeepBonde Hello , i have a question should it be just focused on the momentum stock like a 5 star setup in a lagging sector or a 3 star setup in a hot sector , like which stock to prefer first ? as i am really having trouble combining these 2 Thank you for the answer

It is a selective rally, and it is getting more selective. Lots of selling below the surface. It is all about selecting the right stocks and themes.

Late evening sunset. Does anyone know the planet that is currently visible in the western hemisphere (just above the clouds)? Too bright to be a star #NorthernUtah

@mmonis Hahaha omg no. CAR reached a historic and extreme extension of approximately 111% above its 10-day simple moving average at its peak on April 22nd. QQQ is currently approximately 6.92% above its 10-day simple moving average.

Philosophy Buy the tightest consolidation in the strongest stock in the strongest sector in a strong market — confirmed by explosive volume. No oscillators. No hope trades. Price + Volume + Pattern + Preparation.

After a strong market run, the temptation to buy laggards always rises. Don't fall for it! The highest-probability opportunities right now are in resets and pullbacks in names that have already proven leadership. That’s where we want to stay focused. Watching a name like $BE to offer something up next week:

You want to know a secret that changed my mentality around money? Scenario: April 1st your portfolio was 100k and we went on this magical run where it climbed up to 140k as of yesterdays close. Then a day like today comes along and you happened to get stopped on all your positions and you are now sitting at 130k. Did you lose 7.14% today or is your portfolio up 30% in a month? Unrealized gains ARE NOT YOURS. They belong to the market! If you want to mitigate volatility, trim into extensions. But if you are going to stress out about every down day as if the money was yours on an open position, you'll never truly be able to scale up comfortably. Treat every new buy or sell based on it's individual price action. And stop looking at your portfolio value every evening as if the money on open positions belongs to you. Checking portfolio value every 10min only leads to emotional and sloppy execution when you look at the whole and not the individual parts. If stock A is still acting great then it shouldn't be sold just because you took a small loss on stock B. Exit stock B and continue to let stock A work for its own merits. The minute you start to make emotional decisions because of money is when you ruin your chances at real growth.

@RealSimpleAriel I lost 5% today. Stopped out on eight out of 15 positions. Three of them were losses, three of them were gains and two of them were break even. But overall I'm still up 50% YTD

$AOSL Normally I would avoid holding positions over an earnings release. The average implied earnings move is 10.6%. if it drops, it would still be above my initial stop loss so I'm going to hold. If I calculated that it would drop below that level, I would exit before close
