@StahlDwayne Would probably work great. Rye is competitive and should compete strongly against the livingmulch. Would likely still need a bit of chemical mowing.

3rd crop (winter oats) coming along nicely while keeping the same lucerne based #livingmulch for the last 3 years.

It's that time of year!
Jakin took the drone out last week to get this shot of Brian Berns, co-founder of Green Cover as he was planting corn into standing cereal rye.
The rye will be terminated to create a thick mulch, reducing weed pressure, maintaining soil moisture, protecting against erosion and overall making a more hospitable environment for soil microorganisms.

@RickBieber81 @NoTillFarmr I mean the study of the pesticide damage to soil biology, wondering if it’s the same if add carbon to our chemicals, would you have any data on that
English

@StahlDwayne @NoTillFarmr My field pictured has nothing applied except naked seed for last 3 years. Before that all Five Soil Care Principles applied for last 30 years. Tested for biological balances, F/Bacterial, F/Protozoa, F/Fungal … when we felt they were balanced we give up all inputs except seed

One of the most important steps in no-till weed control is to start with a clean field. This means you should use a burndown treatment to make sure the field is clean at or shortly after planting.

@RickBieber81 @NoTillFarmr Is this with the pesticide complexed with fulvic acid? Would there be a difference at different rates of fulvic? And what is the time frame above for the pesticide application, how far apart where the 3 applications
English

@NoTillFarmr Very first step is to analyze your weeds. If they are in non-competing families, they will help your biological communities bring C to life within soils. Extra herbicide pass will hinder life within soils. Cool Season unlike plants bring more water efficiency than H20 consumption

Homemade bread with honey and butter 😍
The last six months we have used flour from @FranckGroeneweg @Ndfarmgirl1 and @AxtenFarmsLtd
Guess who the winner is?
Each of these farms has much more nutritious grain than “run of the mill”. But you don’t need lab data to confirm you what your tongue can tell you.
When you buy from on of these growers, you win.
Someone in your family loves to bake. Their best recipes become even more flavorful, and everyone gains higher quality nutrition. There are many great reasons to buy flour from a farm doing an outstanding job on nutrition management, rather than off the store shelf. Support them, or someone like them, and delight yourself and your family.
You win. Farmers win. Rural communities win. Society wins.
Do it.

@JoeWecker @MdMcLean1 Yes , is there a difference between chemical (alkaline extraction) or different methods
English

@MdMcLean1 No. I am a fan of humic derived from compost. Preferably mushroom compost but fulvic derived from humic acid is just fine too. They both do the same thing.

@sunfertilizer @johnkempf At how many L per acre was the plant on the right, and at what levels in the soil before application
English

@johnkempf Your right John I’ve been playing with Boron levels for 15 years
We need to get to 4-5 ppm B
Soil test B should be10% Cec so Greg Patterson says from A&L Lab
K/B ratio 200-1
Omex made a liquid B to be sprayed on the ground called Sunalta Boron a Borate form 18L/ acre no toxicit

Year 8 of relay cropping is in the record books. Our first 100 bushel 60" wheat crop planted with healthy early April planted full season soybean full of blooms and pods between.
