@ahmednasirlaw Change the law/regulations so legal services are competitively sourced and paid on outcomes. The current situation where the fees are based on some obscure payment rates set by lawyers irrespective of success / failure of the assignment is the source of huge legal bills.

No judge would have written Paragraph 4 of this ruling when I was Chairman of the Law Society of Kenya or when Charles Njonjo was the Attorney General. Judges are very good in reading the interplay of power in the country and write nonsense when they think the opposite forces are WEAK. How can an the Attorney General be questioned in instructing lawyers to argue a case on behalf of the Republic? If I was the Attorney General, I would have had a tribunal appointed to look into the misconduct for the judge in two weeks time and have him dismissed from the judiciary thereafter. @LawSocietyofKe
