I think the only solution to this is for every woman with heavy periods to start saving their largest clots in a ziplock baggie and mailing them to whoever agrees with this bill every single month. With a note attached “wasn’t sure if I should flush this or not, please confirm.”

Not only did the boy follow my verbal instruction to put on his boots to go outside, he found them in the mix of boots and shoes and made an annoyed sound when he put the first one on the wrong foot and then switch it.
Baby steps sometimes become big steps.

for a long time, all I wanted was to weigh 120 pounds. that was my “goal weight”—& every beautiful woman I saw I assumed weighed 120 pounds.
it was revolutionary the first time a woman told me her actual weight. we are all so messed up about these numbers that mean so little.

@wendy_waters He doesnt have his own class. He’s just not in class and is with his EA. The catholic system here doesn’t special ed classes. It’s fully integrated.

@StandingHannah So presumably some of the time he is in a different class, and some of the time integrated? The more disruptive students where my kids went had their own class, but joined in certain class and school activities when possible.

I heard the story when I was 20 and my mum just mentioned it out of the blue when someone was talking about Cohen. So I feel like I’m follow in tradition when I mentioned it in passing and the girl just stopped mid waltz and say “wait what?”

The girl and I were waltzing (because that’s the only skill I taught her during lockdown) to Take This Waltz and I told her about my mum meeting Cohen’s staff and being asked to attend an after party but she was a nursing student on schedule so she didn’t go.

@wendy_waters Very true. But my son’s autism means he can be disruptive and at some point he needs more attention and his classmates need to concentrate on maths.

@StandingHannah I think having children with challenges in the classroom teaches empathy, directly and indirectly.
And for some, it even pointed toward a potential career.

I remember when stomach stapling and similar surgeries were all the rage. A couple in my church, both quite obese (in the 300-400 lb range) had the surgery, and precipitously dropped in size till they were both around 200 lbs or less. Then they gradually regained the size until they were in the upper 200s, when they moved away and I lost track of them. I wish them well. I sincerely hope nothing like this happens with Ozempic.

@RandArrow @SandyofCthulhu I literally cut my own calorie intake down to 1200 because I was tired of being a fat pig. Practice self control. Don't need some pill that could cause more issues in the long run.
Stop. Eating. As. Much. Walk daily. And STOP DRINKING SOFT DRINKS ALL DAY.
It's really that simple.

@StandingHannah The sentiment alone is so kind....but someone was really thinking with that book. I love gifts like that where the child doesn't have to be so 'precious' with it and it can be just theirs.

Why didn’t this mum ask him why he didn’t want to go to the dance? Why doesn’t he (according to her thread) tell her about things? This is the version of “my kid never calls me” for high school.
