A quick word on Stoke today, I thought they looked very one dimensional in their play, I'd be pretty worried if I was one of their fans. Can see them being in a relegation battle come the end of the season #scfc #swfc

@BrentleyGC If you aren’t capable of hitting the ball in 30 seconds then you aren’t ready to play, it’s an absolute nonsense

As Shoemaker gets lit up by social media, it's important to note some context: 1. She had major arm surgery last October after playing through "excruciating pain" for seven months 2. She's 100% physically now, but she's still fighting a mental battle, trying to convince her brain that there won't be pain 3. Pre-injury, Shoemaker was "one of the fastest players" USC coach Justin Silverstein has ever coached. “Just trying to reassure myself that there isn’t pain anymore,” Shoemaker explained. “I’ve been struggling with it for the last four months, just being fully committed to hitting the ball.” Added Silverstein: “It’s not easy what she’s going through as far as being able to swing comfortably and confidently. She’s taking it back and her brain is still firing like it’s going to hurt, and that’s how she played all last spring.”

“This is part of her routine” I would have already been on the green waiting before she pulled the trigger.

@mensgrill69 That’s an absolute piss take - trouble is you get 28 hcp golfers copying this thinking it’s going to improve their game before then slicing one out of bounds or topping it 10yds 😂

VAR is no good. It's just not. It doesn't need tweaking or resetting - it's just no good for football. Referees make bad errors every now and but so does this billion pound tech overlord bullshit. What have we gained? Nothing. What have we lost? Live football.

Excellent firm but fair policing as Young Bob the Knob gets his arse handed to him on a plate with the simple application of Common Law (Breach of the Peace).

@CitizenSuburbia The misuse of the word “Derby” pisses me off way more than it should 😆 a Derby is a rivalry based on geography (being within the same city or town) not just any old rivalry

Everton v Chelsea, Saturday: The Premier League Punishment Derby. In the home corner: 8 points deducted, law suits faced, prize money lost, the primary cause of it all: building an incredible new stadium, which hosts the game. In the away corner: Corrupt payments to agents for players who led the team to sporting accomplishments. All punished with a slap and tickle. Hotels sold to themselves to comply with PSR. Chelsea Football Club: They Respect The Ball, But Not The Rules.

@BMCRangersRants As a football fan, i think it’s a combination of intelligence (or lack of), indifference of rugby fans to losing, and wealth (the result matters less to rugby fans - their life’s are usually fuller as they have more cash (in general)

I was at Murrayfield with over 67,000 fans yesterday. Good mix of Scotland and France fans. All having a beer. All having a laugh. Why when it comes to football does everyone turn into animals? Genuinely at a loss.

Warning: The Green Party winning the Westminster by-election is even worse than Labour being in power It signals a HUGE political shift towards taking everything off everyone. In case you didn't know here are the Green Party's ‘policies’
>Fully open the boarders  >Grant immigrants more funding  >Abolish Landlords completely  >Tenants can buy their house minus all rent paid to date  >Min. wage of £15 regardless of age  >Universal basic income & universal credit  >Increase capital gains tax up to income tax levels  >Spend £10s of billions more on the NHS  >150,000 new social housing homes a year  >Voting for 16 & 17 year olds  >Wealth taxes  >Write off/ignore the £110billion national debt interest

Oh, & bigger breasts for all women (IYKYK)
So this is what Manchester have voted for. Someone please enlighten me as to why?

@sharrond62 Define “affordable”. Private education is a commodity, if people want to pay fine but it’s taxable like any other goods are, and is paid out of DISPOSABLE income, so the choices people make are to do with cars and holidays not food or heating

Many private schools are not for the super elite or rich, they charge an affordable amount for an education that many parents make huge sacrifices or take second jobs to pay for. This saves the public sector for every child not having to be in the public s Education, the same way private medicine helps to alleviate some of the pressure on the NHS. In countries like Australia they actively incentivise this, here we promote the politics of envy. The same way we’re chasing away the top 1% of our tax payers. It will backfire…
