I’ve always found it fascinating seeing what presidential election losers become. Those who got so close but never reached the mountain top.
Objectively, it’s quite sad. To run for your absolute dream job and to be utterly rejected by your nation. Brutal, man. We saw it with Gore, Kerry, McCain, Romney, Hillary. They all became these hollow sort of ghosts. Absolute shells of themselves. You can see it not only rhetorically but physically. They all just truly fell apart. Crumbled.
Can’t even really blame them. Who could possibly recover from a blow that devastating?

A difference between Catholics and Orthodox I’ve seen, is that most Catholics hope and pray for reunification, whereas the average Orthodox gets sick at the idea of reunifying the church.
Catholics want to bring the entire Orthodox Church back into full communion, where the Orthodox think that every Catholic should convert to orthodoxy on an individual basis until unity is achieved.
The former *could* happen, the latter never will.
It goes back to the Council of Florence where the Orthodox hierarchy formally accepted the Pope and the Filioque, but were met with riots from the layman when they returned to Greece, where they eventually caved and reignited the schism.
Constantinople fell 14 years later and was the last of the 4 Orthodox sees to fall to the gates of hell.

About a week ago these little Ukrainian kids knocked on my door.
Between the ages of 10 to 12.
They had a push mower, handheld blower, and weed eater.
They were looking for work and wanted to know if they could mow my lawn. (It needed a mow)
I told them sure. I pay my lawn guys $40 and that’s what I was willing to pay them.
They were stoked and immediately got started.
Now. I only let them do it because, you know, all men were there once upon a time. Wandering around the neighborhood looking for lawns to mow.
But I was t expecting much.
Bro. I went outside about 40 minutes later to check on them and not only did my lawn look pretty amazing, they also trimmed my bushes. 🤯
I paid them $40 plus a fair tip.
They asked if I had more work so I told them to come by this Friday and they could clean and organize my garage.
They showed up today like clockwork.
They got started and I told them to make a pile of things they wanted to keep and I’d let them know when they were done if they could have the stuff.
My garage is spotless.
They walked away with $40, fireworks, a WWII helmet, model airplanes, MMA sparring equipment, minted coin sets, bottles of cologne, and some other odds and ends.
Since the war in Ukraine my community has had an influx of Ukrainians.
I see them at the store a lot.
Very proper people. Always dressed nice. Polite and family oriented.
I now have a cool little crew that does outstanding work.
Love to see it. 🇺🇦

It's funny seeing Canadians defending their government negligence. Also then trying to make fun of Americans for not wanting their pollution.
Just remember, Canadians did a truck protest in 2022 that not only did nothing, but now they have even more Indians, more Indian truck drivers, and worse economic outlooks across the board.
They are so pathetic they have allowed 3 historic seasons of forest fires to burn like 10% of their forestry since then, cause billions in damage, and the government now has to reallocate their tax money to pay off the damage they caused by their own negligence.
So the original budgets for wildlife they cut to protect these sorts of things, now costs probably 100x more hahaha.
Guess what goes up Canadians? Oh that's right, your taxes! Enjoy the new property taxes lmao.
