@NetherBro87 $450 would've been steep, but manageable, for a "normal" Nintendo console. But this is a console that has $80 games, $20 "upgrades" for resolution and framerates, etc. It's the first time a console with the Nintendo logo didn't feel like a Nintendo console.

@Woodlandbuckle DVDs have special features and neat menus and are also cheaper, so we’re buying both

To add to this, stop buying DVDs. Blu-Rays are better ( most of the time) and your PlayStation 3-5 and Xbox One/Series can play them

@GnomieVT I had essentially the opposite happen one time I asked the front desk at GameStop asking if they had any amiibo, and instead of answering the employee asked me if I had ever heard of Flashiibo It was an amiibo emulator, which they weren't even selling

I remember when I went to do a trade in to get a white OLED switch at GameStop. The employee came out and gave me a splatoon one. I said that’s not what I wanted. He said it didn’t matter and held more value than a regular white OLED because I could keep it in the box and sell it after a few years. I told him I still didn’t want it, I wanted the switch I drove over an hour to get (I called before hand and they said they had a white OLED in stock). Dude refused to refund me, and when I was doing my trade in was bashing me for the games I had been playing (animal crossing, Fire Emblem, etc). I don’t want to spend hundreds on a game system and then never touch it, that’s the dumbest shit I’ve heard.

@Ages97 @KirPinkFury I wouldn't hold my breath I don't think it'd make sense for Nintendo to delay a Switch 2 Edition of a game that launched after the Switch 2 Animal Crossing has the argument of being 5+ years old at the time of its NS2E release

@Staruo356 @KirPinkFury If they said they have no plans to add it in, that makes me wonder if they are holding it back for a Switch 2 Edition specifically like they did for Animal Crossing.

Back in June last year, all I saw in the TL were comments such as Switch 2 doesn't have games and how it wasn't needed. Fast forward to last month, everyone is getting one and seeing how fun the whole ecosystem is. Pokopia and Tomodachi Life is a powerful combo.
