The ABS Challenge Era is officially here. ⚾️🤖
11,976 balls and strikes have been called so far.
286 of those calls were challenged.
155 of those calls were overturned. 👇
70 of those misses were by less than 1 inch!
MLB umpires as a group are actually pretty damn good and now we are using tech to help them on the calls too close for the human eye and to fix the really bad misses.

@GunsUpTakeover @CodifyBaseball Except they don’t do it poorly. They are actually wildly accurate. 90%+ accuracy behind the plate. If you were 90%+ accurate at your job, would be ok with a robot taking your job?

@CespedesBBQ @Stathead I wonder if it won't due to potential lockout after the year- some guys who wouldn't be Rule 5 eligible maybe don't get called up and then next year are able to play if there's a really long lockout.

The only issue is UConn and SJU in the same region. Nothing else here is problematic. SHU went 0-7 against the only Big East teams with a pulse Conf. tourney results don’t matter after Thursday maybe Friday if you’re lucky. You don’t get location preference outside top 16.

Here's the fix: When the NCAA Tournament inevitably expands, give regular season champs auto bids, and tournament champs autobids. If you win both, you avoid the play-in round.
But we all know that will never happen because we gotta prioritize the 12th place Big Ten team.
