Yes in wealthy coastal areas EV sales are hot. Around CNBC I’d say 25-30% or cars on road. Nearly all Teslas but some Rivians and Taycans popping up.
That said, national dealer told me “basically zero demand” outside coasts and well-off university towns.
He said manufacturers now trying to allocate nearly all inventory to those locations.

Morning. The #TexasFreeze continues & grid operator ERCOT is still reporting >31,000 MW of thermal generation capacity out as of 9AM CT. Down slightly from a peak of 34,000 MW reported yesterday afternoon (ercot.com/news/releases/…) but still >40% of thermal capacity in state!
