@FastbreakHoops5 Kobe's game was iconic but the most meaningless & least impactful of the 4. Had he scored 6 instead of 60 his legacy would've ended up the same, & 50 shots is a total that gets a lot more criticism if it's someone else; emulating Jordan got him an eternal pass on selfishness.

@NotionsofNick @PatMcAfeeShow @ShamsCharania I disagree. He went a bit personal to defend himself, but it comes across more "I'll stand by my work in spite of the naysayers" than "screw the Bucks." He got attacked pretty hard for suggesting Butler wanted out of Miami & was right. This one's just slower moving.

@PatMcAfeeShow @ShamsCharania Even if you’re not a Bucks fan, how do NBA fans watch this and not think “Shams sounds like a loser here”. It’s embarrassing that a “professional” is taking something so personal.

"The reality of everything in Milwaukee is this... If they spent as much time dealing with their own internal problems as they did responding to accurate reports they wouldn't be in the mess that they're in right now" ~ @ShamsCharania #PMSLive

"I just report the news and the truth can hurt sometimes.. Giannis and his camp informed the Bucks last May that he was ready to move on.. He thought this roster wasn't good enough and the season played out how it played out" @ShamsCharania #PMSLive

@Jumpshot8 It is a fun fact and something one can appreciate. I don't think anyone's trying to devalue Ray Allen in any way.

@uscfan981 Most people think of Sebastian Telfairs, Greg Odens or Adam Morrisons with these. As a Bucks fan, Bogut was finally coming into his own before badly breaking his arm. He comes to mind because the hype from draft experts was "better than Vlade Divac; young Arvydas Sabonis."

@SP_funkadelic Well, well you look back at Forbes' '21 numbers, Green isn't really better so it's just the right comparison:).

@SP_funkadelic Hard to disagree with you there. If they trade him as part of a deal for a solid starter I won't be sad; if they upgrade to where he becomes the equivalent of what Bryn Forbes brought to the '21 team (Green is a bit better than Forbes though imo), that's ideal.

@SP_funkadelic I think they need a roster good and deep enough where Green is 6th or 7th man, not necessarily to get rid of him.

@22Brew22Crew22 He's unbearable to watch if he isn't hitting his shot. He is literally just running around...can't drive to the basket..not a good ball handler..can't defend ... rarely rebounds. Lots of players can get hot once a month. He needs to go imo

@KobeTGOD @VinnysCorner1 No, he didn't jump as high or as effortlessly, or dunk as powerfully. This category is Vince's, with Dr. J & Shawn Kemp & a few others in the discussion.

@WhozMEECH @iLoveShawn5000 That's the wrong year. Dirk won MVP 06-07 and led the league in win shares, James 2nd, Duncan 3rd...Kobe was 6th in win shares that year. He finished 4th in the MVP race the year before; the idea that it was controversial or he was "snubbed" is a myth.

@iLoveShawn5000 Contexts teammates matter. And the 2006-2007 lakers had one of the worst playoff rosters all time. Kobe dragged them. He was the best player in the league. Deserved MVP.

@BigEastBarroom I started turning around on him last year when he showed genuine embarrassment when asked about his "I'm the best f***ing coach in the league" (or whatever) he shouted at the ref. I think he's a solid guy who's learning to manage emotions better, be more cerebral, etc.

@PDawg206 @dylanmorris44 They're the "posterchild" after winning with 2 fewer transfers than last year's championship Florida team?

@dylanmorris44 The problem is the high frequency of player movement throughout the sport. The sentiment is not confined to Michigan, though as the national champions they are a posterchild. I hope they can find a way to limit player movement.

@BenAxelrod It's the story, not the champ games. While big recruits, all except CWebb grew up seeing bball as a way out of a rough life. There are lots of those stories, but this one includes some big personalities coming together at the right time & injecting a lot of buzz into the sport.

@lion_politics @TheFieldOf68 @616NYY The point is it doesn't matter if a contributing player began elsewhere. No one cares that Florida used 7 transfers and won a year ago, and it's clear the people bashing Michigan for using 4 this year don't know or remember that about FLA.

Dusty May on constructing his roster through the portal. “I think we are all better in certain situations than others… When the OKC Thunder won the Finals last year, I wasn’t judging them because SGA was drafted by the Clippers or because they signed Isaiah Hartenstein as a free agent. I thought, wow, those guys played beautiful basketball—that’s a real model for young players to watch.”

@CoachMoney1987 I don't blame Dusty and I don't really blame Michigan fans for feeling this way given no one was picking them preseason. But they do have an unprecedented number of transfers for a potential championship team. That's just a fact.

I know people don't like Hurley, but UConn is clearly the good guy in this title game. Michigan purchased almost its whole team out of the portal. Only one starter played there last season. If this is the future of CBB, that's pretty sad. I think I'd rather Duke win it.

Sad state of affairs: the team about to win the national championship is just the best batch of transfers money can buy. Not much integrity in that.

Geno is a classless egomaniac - Dawn walked up to him in a classy and friendly way. Her team played great - smothering defense all game - and they dominated Geno's team - so he starts snapping at the winning coach. It was supposed to be about players - Geno made it about him.
