@matt19850 @anon_opin Having just got home from a gig by The Lottery Winners I’d suggest giving them a listen, fantastic home grown talent, super song writing with great messages in the lyrics!

@anon_opin Maybe if the UK put out good music instead of Ed Sheeran and other musical AIDS, maybe if the BBC made something other than boring procedural detective shows, maybe if we made decent films with a decent budget......we'd bother with it all.

You can't blame anyone else for the "loss of British culture" when you don't listen to British music created this millennium, don't go to gigs, don't watch British films, don't support arts funding, don't order eels when you have a takeaway and insist you don't watch the BBC.

@fasc1nate This issue was used as a storyline in the last series of Call the Midwife, the heartbreak of a couple who had always wanted children faced with this was beautifully portrayed.

Doctors found a calcified fetus of 30 years old in the uterus of a woman aged 73 years old. These 3D CT scans belong to an Algerian women with a fetus that was inside her for over 30 years. The creepiest photos ever taken: bit.ly/3MhKiB3

@bannon1975 @PieCorbett The youngest sat with me at Christmas for half an hour as we worked our way through a pile of books - that’s pretty good attention for 16 months old! Now at 20 months he loves The Gruffalo, Monkey Puzzle among many others…

If you're a grandparent who buys books for your grandchildren, you are quietly doing one of the most important things in their lives. A book from a grandparent feels different to a book from school. It feels chosen. Personal. Not a duty. That changes everything.

@simonfarnaby absolutely loved seeing The Magic Faraway Tree today, thank you for bringing the story so gently up to date while still being true to the original, many happy childhood hours spent reading the books - lovely to revisit the characters as a grown up!

@Her_Nonymous_D Sibling love is beautiful, as I type this my son is far from home performing on stage and in the audience is his big sister (she lives near the venue he’s at), weary after a day looking after her children, but there to watch and support him, this mother’s heart is full ♥️

to pressure them. Then, this evening, both her 16 year old and 13 year old brothers surprised her in the sweetest way, they agreed to sleep over. Her face lit up with pure joy. She was so happy she almost cried. Right away, she began preparing the room with so much care: making the bunk bed extra comfortable, giving her favorite stuffed animal to one of her brothers to cuddle, and spreading her most loved blankets so they would feel cozy and welcome. Now all three are fast asleep in the same room, her two big brothers sharing the lower bunk while she rests above, filled with excitement for the Easter Bunny’s arrival. These beautiful moments of sibling kindness and childhood magic are precious, and I’m soaking them in while I still can.

Today, my heart feels so full as I watch my three children sleeping peacefully together. My 9 year old had been wishing all day for her big siblings to join her in a special Easter Eve sleepover so they could wait for the Easter Bunny as a team. She knew it was a big ask, especially since both teens value their own space, but she hoped anyway. We talked with her about asking kindly and being ready to accept whatever answer she received. She waited patiently throughout the day, trying hard not…

@londonteacher_ You are very much correct, Christmas, Easter & Summer = holidays, all other time off is a half term, the break in the middle of a term dividing it in half…

lol I tweeted this this morning then went away and thought nothing of it. Can’t believe the amount of likes I’ve come back to, and the amount of people telling me I’m wrong 🙃
Amy Smith🦋@londonteacher_

I have said it before and I’ll say it again. This is NOT half term. We have ended the term. This is the Easter holidays before the start of summer term. When we get a week in may, THAT is half term!!! Basically, if it’s one week, it’s a half term. If it’s longer, then it’s not.
