Cooler air is on the way! A cold front moves through this morning with a few clouds, dropping temps from the weekend. A few showers are possible late Tuesday, with sunshine back on Wednesday.

The Storm Prediction Center has expanded the threat for damaging winds, and a few tornadoes tonight. Please be prepared to act quickly should a warning be issued for your area.

A few storms develop Friday afternoon into the evening with heavy downpours and gusty winds. A more organized line of strong to possibly severe storms moves into Alabama Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening. Damaging wind gusts will be the main threat.

Warm through the end of the week - 70s Showers and storms likely Friday and Saturday followed by a blast of colder temps.

This evening’s sunset view from Mobile Bay was a stunner!

Thursday evening, a semi-organized line of showers and thunderstorms is expected to sweep from west to east. We’re not anticipating widespread severe weather, but this time of year we keep a close eye on every storm. A few could bring brief, gusty winds up to around 40 mph. The line should move through fairly quickly, with much cooler air settling in for Friday.

The good news is this is the last punch from the Arctic this week!

YES! It was every bit as cold as it felt this morning. Even with winds easing compared to Sunday, wind chills still occasionally dipped into the single digits.
