it was hard to find the words to send off my graduating class. they have truly inspired me and always reminded me that even though i’m in these very interesting and adult-like positions, i’m still a kid…so i took notes from dr seuss for this speech 😊

14 years ago my parents brought me to canada with nothing but the clothes on our backs and a dream for a better life. this year, i graduated as class valedictorian, honours with distinction, 1710 service hours, leadership awards, and full tuition scholarships. God is good 🎉

this thursday was my last board meeting at the @TCDSB! i’m truly grateful for this experience and the incredible support i’ve received for the past two years. this hopefully isn’t goodbye but rather, a see you later! ❤️😉

I was with TDSB Chair @rchernoslin at the Merit Award Bursary Program Awards Ceremony this evening, 260 students from @tdsb and @TCDSB received bursaries for post secondary education totalling over $300,000. @StephanieDCstro was a recipient of multiple awards. @4LifeLearning

Overheard: Being a woman is kind of like being a cyclist in a city where all the cars represent men. You're supposed to be able to share the road equally with cars, but that's not how it works. The roads are built for cars and you spend a great deal of physical and mental energy being defensive and trying not to get hurt. Some of the cars want you to get hurt. They think you don't have any place on the road at all. And if you do get hurt by a car, everyone makes excuses that it's your fault.
