The life lessons you learn in football are just different than any other sport kids will be play.

Linebackers: Pad level isn’t optional. You can be the strongest Linebacker in the world… But if you play HIGH… You lose all your power. Low pads win.

It’s not enough just to train hard. You have to train hard with a positive attitude. Great effort plus a great attitude gives you the best results.

Linebackers: Tackling is about violence. It’s about physicality. But it’s also about angles, leverage, and footwork. When your technique matches your toughness… You become a tackling machine.

Tom Coughlin said, "You never want an opponent to see you in anything, but strength." "You don't want bad language. You don't want that as a stamp of who you are." Your body language speaks before you do. Your presence, your tone, your energy - everything speaks.

Everybody has the will to win. That's not what matters. It's the will to prepare that matters. You have to want to practice, to train, to get better. You have to be willing to learn & fail & grow. Preparation isn't waiting until the last minute. It's improvement on a daily basis!

The Linebackers position is all about SPEED. And you can PLAY faster without GETTING faster. You do it with: Better Angles. Quicker Reads. More Efficient Movements. Play smart and you’ll play fast.

Long after the wins & losses, you'll remember your teammates & coaches; the bus rides & locker room talks. You'll remember how you had each other's backs. You'll remember the relationships & how you needed each other. And especially how fortunate you were to be part of the TEAM!!

A confused Linebacker plays slow. A confused Linebacker wastes steps. A confused Linebacker can’t make the play. So how do you eliminate confusion? You SIMPLIFY. Focus on the fundamentals. Everything else will fall into place.
