@nielsonTSN1260 Panthers got the first goal and got their mojo back. Their defense game tonight was superb. Give the Oilers credit - I wrote them off after game 3. It was a great accomplishment to get to game 7. If they could have got game 1 I think the outcome is different. 2 matched teams.

Three Quick Thoughts 1. I honestly thought they were gonna win tonight but they just didn’t have it. 2. 97 & 29 not coming up big tonight? Disappointing, not scoring on the PP was killer. 3. The lack of urgency with the net empty seemed so damn weird. What you got tonight?

@nielsonTSN1260 Oilers getting out worked on the boards. Draisaitl was not his dominant self. Bouchard needs to be stronger on the puck - maybe increased minutes affected him. Florida was the better team - needed to win game 1. Oilers might get a game at home but sadly this run is over

Three Quicks Thoughts 1. Officiating tonight was just a mess, but none of them will be held accountable and Bettman will say it's fine. 2. Bottom line, Oilers have 1 goal in 2 games, big guys need to find a way. 3. This series is FAR from over! What you got tonight?

@nielsonTSN1260 Draisaitl wasn’t the dominant player he can be. Holloway needs to get more engaged physically- a few too many fly bys. You don’t have to hurt anyone but finish your checks. Bobrovsky was locked in. Were the better team tonight - just have to bare down and bury their chances

RNH from McDavid...4-1 Edmonton. Oilers with four goals on 20 shots on Silovs. He didn't have a chance on that one. McDavid's third assist of the game. This line with a huge, and not surprising, bounce back after Game 5.

@nielsonTSN1260 Canucks were better. Brought more energy. Where was this Diasepo or whatever guy? He was great. Perry looks slow. Defense just didn’t seem engaged - too many giveaways. Tocchett got his guys going. I don’t know. Doesn’t look good

@JasonGregor ‘Beat him like a rented mule’ . Rip Dutchy

Dutchy was a legend. He changed how broadcasters did highlight shows. His 30-minute SportsNight on ITV was must-watch TV. His wit, enthusiasm and energy made the highlights seem even better. When he moved to TSN he was just as great. And when I got to know him as a man he was just as energetic and positive. Always smiling, had unreal one liners and lit up every room he went in. Deepest condolences to his family, friends and co-workers. He will be missed. #RIP

@JasonGregor Skinner needs to make a save. He isn’t over .800 save %. Bad giveaways in defensive zone leads to goals. McDavid chased puck into corner for another. Vancouver plays a perfect road game. Silvos settled in got a few posts to help. This team is better than this.

Oilers lose 4-3. Skinner has to be much better in game four. Oilers need to score 5x5. Two bad clears/giveaways in D zone led directly to Canucks goals. VAN had 3-1 lead after 40 minutes. Had one shot 5x5 from inside 45 feet in final two periods. Sat back. EDM coudn't score.

@nielsonTSN1260 Nurse wasn’t good, Ceci wasn’t good, Skinner wasn’t good. Sat on a 3 goal lead. Silovs was brutal and made this game closer than it actually was. Need a better effort than this to beat the Canucks.

@nielsonTSN1260 Kings coaching staff woke up and let them play the game they should have played in game 3 instead of that stupid 1-3-1 trap. Kings probably deserved better tonight but give the Oilers goaltending and defense credit - I didn’t think they had that game in them.

Three Quick Thoughts! 1. What a bounce back weekend for Skinner. 2. Even with nothing 5 on 5, the PP comes up huge. 3. Shots on goal would say they STOLE one but I’m not really sure I feel that way. What you got tonight?

@nielsonTSN1260 Skinner needed to stop 2 of those goals- he was off all game. Talbot made 2 solid saves and that’s the difference. Holloway was great. Draisaitl was quiet. Kings playing that stupid 131 system will not work for them long term. Have to win the next one
