Actually Patrick, it means those who've come here to work in jobs that form the backbone of society - care workers, teaching assistants, cleaners. Nobody in such jobs should be in poverty. When we’re talking about lifting children out of poverty, why wouldn’t we mean everyone?

Half of all migrant children currently live in poverty - an already shameful statistic. But the Earned Settlement model will see that poverty prolonged for 90,000 children in working migrant families. That's why my community says the Government must think again.

Criminals have made off with a staggering 413,793 KitKat bars (12 tonnes) from a truck travelling from central Italy to Poland. The entire lorry has vanished into thin air.
Nestlé warns this could trigger major Easter shortages across Europe, with the haul potentially flooding black-market channels.
The company said: “Whilst we appreciate the criminals’ exceptional taste, the fact remains that cargo theft is an escalating issue.”
