I have no idea what the selection criteria is, but one thing I have learnt as athlete/coach/parent is that the athletes don’t pick themselves, so let’s respect & support those athletes who have been selected

Pity that some of @TeamMassmart (and other athletes) were not chosen on merit to attend the World Champs 50km. Well done and best wishes to the athletes that were chosen to be part of this amazing opportunity.

But every time we fall down, we have an opportunity to get up, and to keep chasing dreams. This might not be your comeback Comrades, but it can still be your comeback year. A fast marathon awaits!!

My ❤️ is aching today.I have to accept that I am out of @ComradesRace. Been a tough 8 weeks being injured but am very grateful for @TeamMassmart & @JHNewNutrition for helping me get back on the road.I will be a #Massmart supporter and hopefully next year a runner!

Disappointed that I'll be missing my first race inland #Loskopmarathon, but excited to see my teammates and friends @TeamMassmart .Also very curious for my fancy treatments that is unheard of in East London....PRP & hyperbaric O2 therpapy. Hopefully I'll be back on the road soon!
