Russia passed a new law yesterday, (2 March 2022), to encourage software engineers to not leave their country. The 'perk,' the bait on the hook for these individuals, is a 3-year exemption from military service in case of working for Russian accredited organizations.

Fighting for your opinion is worthwhile only when it contradicts with the opinion of the majority. Otherwise it’s not a fight, it’s a self-promotion.

LinkedIn is a great example of the power of a network effect. The product is a confusing, terrible pile of dog shit riddled with spam. And yet, because EVERYONE has it, I still use it on a weekly basis.

The biggest tech job board Stack Overflow Jobs will cease to exist in 3 months, I somehow completely missed this SO Jobs were always super nice to me and let me index their remote jobs! Is there anything I can do with remoteok.com to capture their customers?
