@cpoetzscher Public defenders have infiltrated the DA's office, the police commission, and the media in SF. They can troll Twitter without consequence, while DAs must be moderate and professional. Not seeing this as a problem in our city.

Competent, well-funded public defenders are an essential part of a fair legal system. Everyone is entitled to a robust defense, no matter how poor they are (or, for that matter, how much you may personally despise them & their alleged crimes).

@Twolfrecovery I'm actually happy to see that - my concern is that the dealers and UA are in cahoots. Check out this pic, across the street from most notorious TL drug corner - Larkin & Eddy. The UA guy shouts across the street to where the dealers are, "We good?". One of them runs over. 8/12

Comments like this are amusing. They apply a standard used to protect citizens from the deprivation of life or liberty by the government to misconduct by the very government actors the constitution was designed to restrain. That’s not how this works. Thomas knows that.
