In 1988, the United Nations predicted that sea level rise would wipe out the Maldives within 30-years' time. 36-years have now come and gone since that prediction was made, and the Maldives have actually grown in size. I am pretty confident they will still be around come 2100.

In the last month Twitter has become unbearable. Musk says freedom of speech but his algos flood your timeline with paid for catastrophe BOTS. It's basically killed the experience for me.

CO2 is an atmospheric trace gas comprising of only 4% of the earth's atmosphere. 400 PPM is near historical record low. 200 ppm the earth dies

One billion tonnes of CO2 weighs the same as 3,000 Empire State Buildings. 1,100 billion tonnes of human CO2 weighs more than everything on Earth built by humans. 1,100 billion tonnes of CO2 heats the planet to 6C. The other GHGs add a further 4C. Vastly more GHGs are released as the planet warms. It's over, but we need to do whatever we can to protect ourselves.
