@UnitedCops There is no need for chases. Technology makes it nearly impossible to go undetected. Police protocols are the issue here. Killing people isnt the answer. Cops need accountability. They kill far too often. Crimes shouldnt be a death sentence. Killing is wrong. Period.

Career destroyed "They will be stripped of their freedom with their lives and careers destroyed, for simply doing what they are trained to do — protect the public. At the sentencing, Judge Mitchell claimed his sentencing rationale was that Sgt. Duran could have and should have just let him go and found him another day. When judges Monday-morning-quarterback police officers and instruct them to let suspects go, the public’s safety is seriously compromised. - Vincent J. Vallelong is a 36-year NYPD veteran who currently serves as the president of the NYPD Sergeants Benevolent Association". LINK: nypost.com/2026/04/09/opi…

🚨THIS IS EPIC: Mayor Zohran Mamdani joined street crews on their 11pm to 1am shift and helped lay asphalt. No gold-plated photo op. Just a mayor showing up, putting in work, and respecting the people who keep the city running. This is what real leadership looks like.

@mavsmarie You counted a group pardon by Trump as 1600 people, but only counted individual pardons for Biden, leaving out his group pardon of over 6500 individuals.

Joe Biden pardoned 80 people in his time as President. Trump in his first term pardoned 144 people. Trump in his second term over 1600. 166 of them are separate from the Jan 6th pardons. Take away the Jan 6th pardons, Trump still doubled Bidens pardons. Miss me with this BS

Black woman rear-ends White dad and his 14-year-old son in hit-and-run, then pulls a gun on them both! Dad fights back, disarms her, and knocks the violent thug out cold with one hip toss. Accidental shot fires but justice is served on the spot!

@greggnunziata Neither the word "people" nor any synonym appears anywhere in that quote. Importing third world people doesn't cause any problem. Importing third world philosophies does.

@KMGGaryde This incident shows the lie inherent in the "just shoot them in the leg" clamor that you hear every time there's a police shooting. Even non-lethal force can sometimes end up being fatal.

“A tear rolls down the cheek of NYPD Sgt. Erik Duran, 38, who was sentenced yesterday for the death of Eric Duprey as he tried to flee from a 2023 drug raid. Duran threw a picnic cooler at Duprey, which knocked him off a scooter, killing him. Lefty Judge Guy Mitchell claimed Duran could have just let him go and arrested him later, and justified the jail time by saying he was sending a "general deterrent" message to police.” "It's a huge miscarriage of justice” former NYPD boss Ray Kelly told The Post.”

@ApplyinLogic @CCamosy That stat is largely because the left has far greater internal correlation than the right I contest the claim the low agreement number is extreme, because those disagreements go in different directions. While the leftist 3 all tend to disagree with the others along the same axis

@CCamosy What's super interesting about these data is that they clearly show Thomas and Alito are more extreme than Sotomayor, Kagan and Jackson. Jackson is most extreme on the left side with average 77.0% of other judges agreeing with her position Thomas is more extreme. Only 73.4%

@GunnelsWarren AI summary, which I have no reason to not believe, says "Total U.S. household wealth reached approximately $168.76 trillion by the end of 2025, according to Federal Reserve data" That means that Elon owns 0.5% of the pie. Nothing to shrug at, but far from 53%

Elon Musk, the richest man alive worth $800 billion, owns 53% of the pie. The top 1% own 93% of the pie. Since 1975, $79 trillion in wealth has been redistributed from the bottom 90% to the top 1%. Bake 10 more pies and the 1% will steal 9 of them. 4 words: Tax the damn rich.
Dave Hawkins@DaveHawkinsX

@davidsenra @tobi Every time I listen to Bernie Sanders, I think of the pie. He is worried about slicing the pie and distributing the crumbs to everyone. I always ask, why not just bake 10 more pies? Abundance means not having to slice the pie, but instead, share or give away what you can’t eat.

@ilan_wurman One thing I do not understand about the whole debate: at the time of its adoption, "everyone knew" that native americans were not included. But wouldn't they have a greater claim of "jurisdiction" than someone whose native country was not fully enclosed by the united states?

🚨🚨🚨Columbia law professor Philip Hamburger just dropped an essay arguing that Trump is right about birthright citizenship. That now makes at least seven prominent law professors arguing to varying degrees that Trump’s EO is constitutional. Read about this development here: open.substack.com/pub/rationally…

@AbolitionEsq We all know exactly how it works. Everyone pretends he'll be in an institution the rest of his life or eventually deemed fit for trial, but in reality, once the furor has died down & everyone's forgotten, he'll be released into society, which we'll only learn after his next kill.

An Instagram post from the attorneys representing the family of Stephenson King is going viral. King, a career criminal with 47 prior charges in Boston alone, was out on bail on four separate felonies when he was shot by police during an alleged violent carjacking. His attorneys say they are seeking justice for the family.
