The Valley Tropics played in their first high school varsity tournament this weekend & took home 2nd place out of 9 teams losing to a tough ABA team out of Vancouver WA in the championship. @SteveGardnerABA great work with those girls! Oh & they also got their Tropics backpacks.

Let me be clear: ultimately, where you go to school won’t matter. Points you score, awards you win, the social media pictures/posts & all the fanfare will be forgotten. The ONLY thing of real importance is WHO you become. Don’t let temporary things eclipse what really matters!

I adjusted the original tweet. Coaches have to be willing to do all these things too. We ask players to grow & we often don’t want to learn new tech. Ask players to be calm & we’re nuts on the sidelines. Ask players to sacrifice & won’t share what we know w/ others on staff. 🤷🏼‍♀️
