Finally got the DSLR setup to my telescope. It's daytime, so all I can do is grab a view of the sun, but I'm excited for some of the upcoming nebula shots with stacking and long exposure.

I am impressed with how much the colors pop and the clarity is way better than you’d think. even the dang shade tints lighten and darken for visibility when wearing them!!

I bought a #telescope, specifically the Celestron 8SE, which lead me to grabbing a Tele Vue Nagler Type-6 13mm Ultra Wide lense. Which lead me to grabbing a Tele Vue 2X Barlow, which lead to me grabbing the Celestron StarSense Auto Align, which lead to me grabbing a T-Ring adapter for my Sony A74 for long shots of the galaxy. Which lead me to grabbing the Celestron Equatorial Wedge, which lead to crying, a desire to live in the woods, and I can only hope the resulting video makes this all worth it. It'll result in a time lapse clip of Jupiter spinning, stitched with some VR content around Space Engine, but is it even possible to get two audiences from two different places at the same time? I'm worried it'll end up being so niche that nobody will see it, but I think anyone looking for astrophotography, a bit of parallax science, and those who instead want some new PCVR experiences will really love it, with or without YouTubes help. How do you do Gaming and Science at the same time as far as the YouTube algorithm is concerned? Maybe you just do it, you fail, and after years of being @donttrythis or @testedcom you just teach it that you're everything.

@youngwt Rokid is a name I’ve also been looking at. Cheap and works but clarity and comfort not the best?

@SteveKnowsVR I’m got the rokid air fairly cheap off eBay, they aren’t bad for the price but not the comfiest. I’ve used them with steam deck fine for games with not a lot of text or anything important at the edges
