States don’t want Medicaid fraud control.
Maine had two prosecutions in six years under Janet Mills — both from cases that started before her!
If they stop fraudulent billing, their federal appropriation might get cut. So the bureaucrats actually encourage the fraud!
Then you add in the constituencies doing the fraud.
It’s almost always Democrat-connected groups, whether that’s white liberals running “non-profit” hospitals or foreign enclaves with “home care” and “adult day care” who also happen to run busses to the polls.

The feds just cut off $60M in funding to NY’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit after it averaged just 9 criminal indictments/year in 2021-2025, down from over 100/year before Tish James took office. NY ranked dead last among peer states: 53 fraud convictions (2023-2025) vs. 129 for the next-lowest state. Indiana, with a fraction of NY’s staff, secured 70 indictments to NY’s 9. Comptroller DiNapoli’s office, with direct audit authority over our $277 Billion budget, has averaged only 30 arrests a year, a rounding error against the scale of state fraud. I agree with this. Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but Lindsay Graham was the leading driver of the devastating sanctions bill against Russia. Yesterday, he announced that president Trump agreed to it. He had just returned from Ukraine where it’s not unknown for Russian agents to operate. Russians are expert at administration of poisons that look like heart attacks. All tests should be done immediately to rule out foul play. I’ve seen enough Russian related suspicious deaths to know this is the only course of action

Regarding Senator Graham’s tragic passing, “cardiac arrest” is not an adequate answer. Cardiac arrest tells us how his life ended. It does not tell us why his heart stopped. Given the threat environment, the identities of America’s adversaries, and Senator Graham’s prominent role confronting them, the American people deserve certainty. That means a complete forensic autopsy, preservation of all relevant biological specimens, comprehensive toxicology and histology, and consultation with federal law enforcement and counterintelligence authorities.

You have to abolish all of these programs at the federal level. End the funding. This is the only way to stop the fraud.

It was Ryan Grim, because of this long-standing personal relationship with Platner, that shared Platner's video with recruiters.

Democrats are all complaining about Platner’s lack of vetting at the same time they rush to nominate a new candidate, yet three of the front-runners would be the first-ever Senate nominee not to provide detailed financial disclosure to the U.S. Senate clerk before they are picked.
Troy Jackson, Nirav Shah, and Shenna Bellows have not filled out the Senate financial disclosures that both Platner and Janet Mills filled out. All three could potentially get an extension until way past the convention date.
That’s just one tiny part of how Democrats are re-creating their mistake by skimping on the vetting. Also, it’s hilarious that Janet Mills isn’t even pretending to be a part of this conversation. What an ignominious end to a corrupt and dreadful governor. I wonder what had her so angry when she left Paul Mills’ office earlier today.
