My daughter woke me up at 4 am. I thought something was wrong, but no: she handed me a plate with the most delicious sugar cookie I’ve ever tasted. She had insomnia, so she decided to bake cookies from scratch. She even cleaned up the kitchen. I’m such a lucky mom. 😊

@MegLavDC We lived near Albany for two years. First big snowfall was 16 inches. All the streets were clear by 6:00am. Few missed work. I went to the Grand Union the night before in a panic. No one was there-- just another normal night for them. They even made fun of me, the Southerner

@anastasiakeeley Yes, with our cat Sam. Unfortunately, the best resolution the vet gave us was a catheter. After 2-3 days of the catheter at the animal hospital, Sam was immediately better. Not fun, but it worked.

@mama_c6 The I-95 situation was caused by an intense winter storm coupled with overwhelming holiday traffic. While I would not have driven into such conditions, I cannot fault those who did. They faced pressure to get home and back to work. It's unfortunate...

@jbrown11871 I don't use soap on my cast iron. They are well seasoned. But it is nice to know there is an option if things go badly on the stove. One note: a good very thin coat of canola oil after each use really does the trick...
