Roman all good points here and questions. First of all the big companies don’t take it too serious. I feel they invest minimally in the autograph divisions but most of their attention is on the card side. I feel it’s a necessary evil for these companies to keep the autograph authentication divisions. They need it but don’t pay much attention. It’s never going to generate what cards do so they just kinda marginalize the divisions and let them run themselves, rarely investing in the product.

Thanks for clarifying. So this was not a basic cert issue. It was a full LOA record where the item photo was never uploaded. That missing database image creates a loophole scammers can exploit with fake Beckett stickers and fake COAs using the same number. Honest question: @Steve_Grad why are autographs treated so much more loosely than graded cards? Card databases usually show detailed info, labels, pop data, and bad certs can be corrected or deactivated. With autographs, we often see limited lookup data, missing photos, no clear certification type, and abused cert numbers staying active. Why the double standard in the same collectibles industry?

Yes unfortunately the photo of the item was never uploaded and that is human error.
Roman Pioneer@renoipgp

@Steve_Grad Exactly. Musk was full LOA only, but these basic lookup records still exist and give scammers a loophole. Same with Jordan and other high-value names.

Randy Johnson on why he doesn’t sign jerseys: “It’s the one thing that can raise much more money for charity due to the rarity of my signed jerseys floating around” That’s a pretty good rule to have. Making that specific type of memorabilia special. It’s cool that he’s so humble about explaining it as well.

Scottie Pippen: My problem is more so with LeBron. If you are the greatest player.. why do you need to say it? Michael Jordan has never ever said he’s the greatest player to ever play the game.

Doing some eBay research today and I came across this and it's 100% manufactured. I hope you are not planning on buying this anytime soon! It's 100% fabricated. ebay.com/itm/1472029977…

@Steve_Grad Pro stadiums basically have made it impossible to get a signature if you don't have the best seats - add with MLB adding the netting - your chances are almost zero at a pro sports event. Those who really want a signature either pay or wait outside the hotels if they have the info

Sent in these 3 autographs at 11:14am today to @Steve_Grad, results came back at 3:14pm. Now I’ve got some proof they’re authentic if my kids ever want to sell them. 🤣🤣 Thank you Steve for the amazing service. Already have the letters printed and stashed away.

BE WARNED!! AI Is now attacking the hobby. Look at “Griffey” in the black, white sox jersey. Look at the size of the card. Does that look like Jr? Is the card really that big? Look at the white, white sox jersey. Look at the card, vs the title for the Ebay listing. PLEASE SHARE!
