He's not Barkov level, but he might be a Lundell/Mikko Koivu clone. Pretty sick player. Move him up your draft boards, because I guarantee teams have #u18mensworlds If he was born 2 weeks later he's available in 2027!!!! I think he's just scratching the surface. And I agree, I can pretty much guarantee he'll be in our final top 10. He has been since the Hlinka.

@StevenBibas @davewebb720141 Theres several teams that could need players or prospects from St Louis. I like O'Brien but would sure love to be able to draft Maholtra.

@Jasonwh83026510 @davewebb720141 I’d love to see what Seattle wants for Beniers. They have O’Brien and Catton who they are extremely high on. Beniers would be a really solid long term 2C behind Thomas.

@davewebb720141 @StevenBibas The Sharks are a team that has 3 Centres that were projected to be 1st line players. Cellibrini is a two way superstar. Would they have interest in a cost controlled Kyrou. Blues would need to add to the package but maybe they could get Smith? Lots of possibilities.

@davewebb720141 @StevenBibas Cont. also if both other players were physical like a Holloway. Team also would need to have a strong leadership group that Kyrou can just tag along and can just focus on scoring. Blues might not get a premium but should still get decent value. If not it’s on him to play better.

@davewebb720141 @StevenBibas I think Kyrou will still have good value for some teams. His possession numbers are really good, past 30 goal seasons, they keep saying top 6 all struggled, battled an injury. I would trade for Kyrou if I had a good 2 way center that needed some speed on the line.

@davewebb720141 @StevenBibas Absolutely, I just love how he plays. He’s the only player on Blainville that physically has been able to somewhat handle Gabe Smith. In game one 2-3 times he was the player in front of his own net battling Gabe for position. He also loves to hit.

@davewebb720141 @StevenBibas Yeah I’d say his upside is a top 4 with the right partner. I have no issue adding him to move up to get one of these top 4-5 D. I’d also like to see 2 of Ralph, Burns, Fisher, Koromyslov develop to play the 2nd and third pair. Blues need more players that can be mean.

@davewebb720141 @StevenBibas Maybe, I mentioned somewhere else would they make Lindstein part of a package to move up and select Carels or Smits? Some say Smits could play now. How do they compare? I know they bring a higher physical element. What would a team that drafts Ivar Stenberg trade for Otto?

@Jasonwh83026510 @StevenBibas "They need 2-3 extra impact players." So true. Maybe they get lucky May 5th but likely not. Maybe he keeps hyping up Stenberg and Lindstein for a reason.

@davewebb720141 @StevenBibas Watched Maholtra last night. I’d love for the Blues to be able to pick him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he went 2-3.

They might be all in on trading up for Malhotra or that 15th pick for Villenueve. Looking to size height and weight of Villenueve at combine.

@davewebb720141 @StevenBibas We also don’t need in the top 5, two picks in the 7-9 should land a 2C and first pair D. I also think their first preference is to trade for a young player maybe a 2C before the draft if available.

@davewebb720141 @StevenBibas He hasn’t but I think this year is different. To trade into the top 10 you need to be willing to overpay value wise. The Blues can do that this year. There’s also a few teams that are already stacked in top end prospects, or aren’t looking to rebuild or who have few prospects.
