Another amazing week in Sheffield with so many special moments. Every time I come here, I fall more in love with this city and its people, who have been so warm and welcoming. Great interactive Q&A with the @swfc staff at Hillsborough; their loyalty is admirable. We will restore joy and pride to the offices as we create a culture of excellence. I've been impressed with the strong civic leadership I've seen from Mayor @olivercoppard and @katejosephs. I have further enjoyed building a great relationship with Clive Betts. Also loved my time with Sheffield Wednesday Legend, @HirstyD9 who still has so much passion for the Owls. My team and I are working on so many important initiatives so that we can hit the ground running once we take over this wonderful club. Most notably; improvements to Hillsborough and the design of our kit and crest (stay tuned!😉). Had the opportunity to host a lunch at the outstanding new restaurant in the City Centre; Maria. You guys have to try it! We were joined by @LordBlunkett who enlightened us with his many stories spanning 75 years of genuine love for the club through the good times and not so. I finished my visit, stopping in at the Broomhill Tavern, relaxing over a pint with some new friends watching our match against Stoke City. I'd like to wish everybody a very Happy Easter weekend as we continue into next week heads down on this journey to rebuild this incredible football club. @NexSportDrabble Both Brentford and Brighton are clubs owned and ran by top class data experts. Not doing too bad for clubs that are ‘smaller’ than Wednesday, are they?!

“Data doesn’t run football clubs” This is one of the reasons #SWFC are miles behind as an organisation An example: Fan Data (Name, Location, Gender, Age etc) can be used to create customer demographics and segmentation. This data can then be used to leverage lucrative sponsorship deals, as companies will want to know what value they are getting for their money, and they can do this by knowing upfront what demographics their sponsorship will reach. This can then be used further, for personalised marketing campaigns and preferences. This is why, in the past #SWFC sponsorship has been adhoc, late and of no strategic relevance to the club and/or fan base.

Gather Sheffield Wednesday took over £100k yesterday afternoon. As of half an hour or so ago, the Megastore had gone past £50k this morning. Queues stretching. Staff in there with smiles on faces. There’s a buzz about the place. #SWFC🦉

Regardless of your allegiance, the way in which Sheffield Wednesday fans have handled, tolerated and now - following today’s news - responded to the ongoing situation has been remarkable. A true reminder of how important football clubs are to the community it represents.
