@NDIrishLax Trying to figure what a 1 minute would look like. Just so inconsistent.

The idea that someone's stick riding up the shoulder and grazing the helmet is a 2 minute non-releasable penalty is absurd. It's not a safety issue and it's dumb. It's like a total perversion of "targeting" from football.

@College_Crosse Uh, clear and obvious foot in the crease. Have no idea what question there would be. Brilliant and on the ball challenge by ND. About as simple and obvious as it gets. Never ceases to amaze me how people can refuse to see what’s so clear.

Game completely flipped on that overturn of the UNC goal to make it 10-7. Was a weird overturn too

@NDlacrosse Sorry. If Shawn Lyght didn’t earn the T today they should just redefine the award. Extraordinary to shut a guy down (for the second time this year) who has spent all year owning games. Soooo good.

@LacrosseNetwork Absurd. In fact, the entire game was poorly officiated. The only thing more stunning was the footing. My goodness, poor guys looked like they were on skates. Someone messed up.

Is pointing to the scoreboard worthy of an unsportsmanlike conduct? 🚩🤔 (via ESPNU)

@Gabepluguez An exceptional question and even more exceptional answer. Accepting “imperfection” is challenging for a group such as this. I live nearby and tip my cap to the group.

I was recently invited to a private men’s group in Franklin, TN. 40+ men, most with 7+ figure net worths — including a few billionaires. Founders and Owners of companies you'd recognize instantly. Invite only. Held in a private social club late on a Sunday night. Cigars and whiskey was served an hour before we pulled chairs into a circle to discuss, and the leader of the group prompted us with one simple question: "What does it mean to live a life of intention?" I sat back quietly, seeking to glean from the wisdom of a room where most were 20+ years my senior. As the answers came around the circle, I couldn't ignore one common thread that wove through nearly every response: These men had built everything—the legacies, the wealth, the businesses. But they all seemed to wrestle with the same thing in the process: Presence. They wrestled with the fact that they had given so much to build for their families. They were struggling with the paradox of building for your family, becoming the man who could impact your family vs. simply being there, present with your family. But the unsettling part for me was, that none of them seemed to have a clear answer on how to "solve the problem". There was no productivity hack presented. No formula to fix your life. There was no breakthrough moment. Just men- battling. But, what I did notice was an acceptance of the imperfection. They acknowledged that they didn't have it figured out, and that's ok. Actually, that's how I knew it was genuine. This wasn't a group of men trying to tell me how to live my life. They were sharing how they processed through the struggles of life. And that was more valuable than any guru's "how to" would've ever been. It was a humbling lesson, 5 days after my daughter was born - that I will never have it all figured out. That I will build what I'm called to build, for God's kingdom and for my family. But also, that I'll be imperfect throughout the process. That I'll need to fight for the time and be intentional to stay present with my family. That I'll need to stay sensitive to what the Holy Spirit is calling me to do, and have peace with the circumstantial outcomes of my imperfect obedience, trusting that God will work it out for good. Hope this blesses you. -Gabe

@BSAT_Properties It’s called standards. I lived in Switzerland for a period of time. Similar standards and mind set. It is bizarre to me how capable humans can be setting high standards and committing to them…. And equally stunning how addictive low standards can be to those same humans.

I was on a train in Tokyo. We stopped between stations. Announcement in Japanese, then in English: "We apologize for the delay. We will resume shortly." The delay was maybe 3 minutes. Not a big deal. When the train started moving again, another announcement: "We sincerely apologize for the delay. We were stopped for 3 minutes and 20 seconds. This is unacceptable. Thank you for your patience." Three minutes and twenty seconds. They measured it exactly. And called it unacceptable. When I got off at my stop, there were station staff on the platform bowing and handing out delay certificates. I took one out of curiosity. It was an official document stating that the train had been delayed by 3 minutes and 20 seconds, signed and stamped. The staff member said in English "for your employer. So they know the delay was not your fault." I said I'm a tourist, I don't need it. He looked confused. "But the delay affected you. You deserve an apology." Three minutes. They were treating a three-minute delay like a major incident. Later I mentioned this to a Japanese friend. They said "oh yes, delay certificates are normal. Trains are supposed to be exactly on time. If they are late, they must apologize." I said three minutes isn't late, it's nothing. My friend said "in Japan, three minutes is late. On time means on time. Not approximately on time." They said the train company probably investigated why there was a 3-minute delay. "They will find the cause and fix it so it doesn't happen again." I kept the certificate. It's framed in my apartment now. A reminder that somewhere in the world, people care about three minutes. © 6IX.

@dosleprechauns @CFBGuy999 This is the correct answer. Nothing like fearing for your life to park and walk to a college football stadium. What a dump.

The dump in LA known as the Coliseum! Theres no close second either: Insanely expensive hotels and air B&B’s near the venue Absolutley horrible fan base Straight up dangerous 5 mile radius in any direction around the stadium Concessions suck That stupid F’n song playing anytime a player farts Uncomfortable and extremely right searing, which is highly ironic since no one is there most of the time Hardly any tailgating to speak of Did I mention their fans are trash??! #FUSC

Just got a quote for a new garage at our lake house. $70,000. Includes: Foundation. 24x30 garage. Loft area upstairs with full plumbing. Earth leveling. Running utilities, like power, water, and sewer. This is good, terrible, or about right?

The algorithm will likely tamp this down. However… @marcwithglasses sent this to me I’ve never seen this actual clip, nor anything like it. Energy in the stadium during the Holtz era was remarkable. youtu.be/23vMunem6nw?si…
