@johndonnellyjr @izzyslovenian It would be nice but the other verses are about his wife or are fairly defeatist. Some sort of mashup with another relevant song or a new verse written with the blessing of the family would be nice.

If it had been the 3rd round of the cup, nobody would have a problem with them being kicked out and us put through to the next round. The playoffs should be no different. Same crime, same punishment.

😤 "It is over the top... it is a disproportionate penalty!" 🤦♂️ "We've lost a sense of perspective on the impact spying can have!" Football finance expert Stefan Borson explains why the EFL are wrong to expel #SaintsFC from the play-offs!"

@utb_smith There have been a few big mistakes and some unfortunate global issues he couldn’t control but the first years under Labour were always going to be short term pain for long term gain.
Shit sticks though and they have been throwing it his way at every opportunity.

A League Arbitration Panel has today dismissed Southampton Football Club’s appeal against the Independent Disciplinary Commission’s decision in respect of breaches of EFL Regulations.
As a result, the original sanction remains in force. Southampton’s expulsion from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs stands, alongside the four-point deduction to be applied to the Club’s 2026/27 Championship record and the reprimand in respect of all charges. In accordance with EFL Regulations, the decision of the League Arbitration Panel is final.
Following the conclusion of the proceedings, the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Final between Hull City and Middlesbrough is confirmed as taking place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 23 May, kicking off at 3.30pm.

@trimdonsmoggie I’m thinking they admitted to the ones that could be proved. There will have been plenty more if they were spying on Oxford in December but if you can’t prove it, why admit it and make the punishment worse?

@lashes_17 I’m not sure we do deserve it but you play the cards you’re dealt and they got the punishment they deserved.
English

@BunningRichard @secondtierpod You lost against Oxford and drew the other two games you admitted cheating for. It’s not about the outcome. It’s about the intent.
English

@secondtierpod That’s actually a fucking joke. Beaten fair and square over 2 games of football simple as that. Yeah it’s a bit underhanded spying on the training but let’s be real, it had absolutely no impact on the result of the two semi finals whatsoever. Football is embarrassing nowadays.
English

@Webby6670 @TheSecretScout_ Oxford beat them 2-1 in that match
English

@Maler76SFC @RichieS1_ @Boro Your club admitted to multiple breaches which suggests you have been cheating for a while. You should never have been there to play us. Good luck with the court case against Wrexham.

A statement from MFC:
Middlesbrough Football Club welcomes the outcome of today’s Disciplinary Commission hearing.
We believe this sends out a clear message for the future of our game regarding sporting integrity and conduct.
As a club, we are now focused on our game against Hull City at Wembley on Saturday.
Ticket information for our supporters will be available shortly.

@Azz_Bailey @secondtierpod @JPercyTelegraph It’s probably more competitive for most teams especially with 6 team playoffs. If they can’t compete it at least keeps costs under control.
English

@secondtierpod @JPercyTelegraph Why would non parachute teams vote for this knowing it'll negatively affect them more
English

BREAKING: Squad Cost Ratio (SCR) will be implemented in the Championship for the 26/27 season after 20/24 clubs voted in favour per @JPercyTelegraph.
This means club spending will be capped at 85% of total revenue.

English

@kierannkater98 @tomhooley @reluctantnicko Probably. We don’t know so there’s no point giving definitive answers. Just let the process play out and see what comes out afterwards.
English

@StevenProfitt @tomhooley @reluctantnicko Was that the same report that mentioned ‘top surveillance recording equipment’ by any chance?
English

@kierannkater98 @tomhooley @reluctantnicko Reports said he was live streaming to a 3rd party. Deleting the evidence at his end doesn’t necessarily delete it at theirs.
English

@tomhooley @reluctantnicko The so called spy was supposedly made to delete what he had so no advantage whatsoever
English

@JackLangley93 @Dan_Sheldon_ @TheAthleticFC We’re not a claimant at this point. We just reported them to the authorities. It’s like reporting a colleague at work. You don’t get to sit in on their disciplinary meeting.
English

@Dan_Sheldon_ @TheAthleticFC Then the efl need to put our case across strongly to the independant disciplinary commision. However surely the claimant should be present in the room. If the efl themselves are involved, how exactly is that independant?
English

Middlesbrough’s request to participate in the hearing has been denied. It will only be the EFL & #SaintsFC, which also means #Boro will be unable to appeal any decision. @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/72785…
English

@IamBalhamMatt @reluctantnicko Civil litigation & tort law don’t apply. Boro want EFL regulatory enforcement. Whether successful or not, the punishment should fit the crime. The intention was to gain promotion and £150m+ by cheating. The punishment should be to deny that with a ban or 3-0 first leg result.
English

@reluctantnicko The main thing Boro fans aren’t getting is that impact (i.e ‘what difference did it make?’) is actually central to civil litigation and tort law in the UK.

Days and weeks of intense debate, scrutiny and condemnation - much of it justified - of Starmer accepting £18,485 worth of clothes and spectacles.
The value was 1/271th of Farage's £5,000,000 from a Thai-based crypto tycoon yet the Reform UK wannabe PM's largely received a free pass.
That's wrong.
