I’ve seen a lot of people change what Charlie’s views were when the evidence doesn’t align w/ their innuendo. If you’ve got a supposed view she or they’ve changed then share.

It can be $5.99 by the time you walk from the parking lot to the dairy aisle. This is the infrastructure for surge pricing on groceries. Think Uber pricing, but for the food your family needs to survive. Snowstorm coming? Prices go up. Hurricane warning? Prices go up. Tuesday night, and shelves are full? Maybe prices drop. Friday before a holiday weekend, when everyone is shopping? Through the roof. Remember Hurricane Katrina? People were paying $10 for a case of water. $6 for a gallon of gas. We called it price gouging and lost our minds. Now they're building the technology to do it automatically at scale. And they don't even have to explain it. The algorithm just adjusts. Here's where it gets uncomfortable for me. I don't want government regulation. I believe in free markets. But I also know that when corporations get the ability to squeeze every last dollar out of desperate people, they will every single time. This is coming to your neighborhood whether you like it or not. The question is, what do we do about it without handing the government more control? Because that's the trap, they create the problem. We beg for regulation. And the government gets bigger. What's the answer here?
