@TouficMayassi Oh I see the entire roll is that segment which is 5-10cm long. Makes sense - else that's a huge visium slide! Thanks for clarifying

@StevensWithAPhD Hi @StevensWithAPhD. So the cm indicator in the window is meant to describe the range of the tissue length used for each segment. For SI for example I defined the first 5cm of tissue as duodenum and last 10cm as ileum. The other segments vary by animal.

1/ Keen to share the story of my postdoc research in @TheXavierLab! We built a massive resource characterizing the spatial landscape of the gut, and yes, we dug deep into the biology too. If you’ve got a minute, let me walk you through the story. 🧵👇 nature.com/articles/s4158…

@samjarman And in answer to your question, the article estimates it would take about 17 years to halve the rabbit population in Aus

@samjarman Its called Gene Drive and its being investigated by a bunch of research groups in Aus to help control invasive species which destroy our native wildlife - e.g. mice, feral cats abc.net.au/news/science/2…

Further to this is there anything incentivising drivers to deliver rather than record deliveries as 'not safe' out of laziness/convenience?

I also can't imagine what the hazard is - very short driveway, not visible from street, no pets, fences, overgrown garden or steep areas.

@auspost Just had packages fail to be delivered today again due to "safety hazard" - is there a way to get a record of what this is? It's not easy for me to get to post office without taking time off work, and apparently I have to pay to get this transferred elsewhere. Pls advise

@Psittacus_tutor I saw this in the paper. I love how we are apparently concerned with having values that our ENEMIES would respect.

@StevensWithAPhD @samjarman Also before they settled on a name one of the candidates in common use was Batmania Batmania and Light City being the capitals of Victoria and SA would have been so cool. Alas people were not as comic book brained in the 19th century.

@samjarman Nothing about crime but his wikipedia entry is worth a read: "Batman moved to the colony with his convict wife, Elizabeth Callaghan, and their seven daughters, settling on what is now known as Batman's Hill. He died of syphilis shortly afterwards at the age of 38."

I went to Beijing, it was cool. People were nice, food was (mostly) tasty and the Great Wall and Palace were awesome.
