The jokes about Colton Parayko staying in St. Louis over Imo’s pizza are hilarious to me because I despised Imo’s when living in Missouri 😂 thought it was horrible

More and more newspapers in big metro areas will do away with sports coverage especially on the high school side of things. Idk the solution but more than ever, independently run (good or bad) sports pages will be relied upon for coverage.

This is both exciting and a little bittersweet. I owe Wyatt a ton for where my career is now. He set a high standard in SGF, and will be an asset to the folks in Manhattan.

@PresbyInn @AshlandPresby I grew up in a small town of 2,000 in rural Missouri and went to a Christian Church (Restorationist). The building constructed in 1916 had a wrap-around balcony like this one. They said it was built to fit 600-800 people at max capacity. Definitely a different time.

@AshlandPresby I would suspect seating, I've been to many Northeast US mainline Protestant churches and they are common. We don't have memory of what it was like when mainline Protestant Christianity was the driving force of American civic life.

@PostenPatrick @WyattWheeler_NL As someone who saw some of Ford's better years, he built great rosters. However, there was a problem getting the full potential out of those players. See the last year with Prim, Mosley. That's a team that should've won Arch.

@WyattWheeler_NL I know this team doesn’t have the talent. And I understand why they moved on from Dana. I’m more so saying, maybe we should be a little more grateful for what he did as a coach at MSU. We didn’t make it to March Madness but his teams always gave us hope and were competitive

I wondered when something like this would pop up. I would encourage you to go look at how Alston Mason, Chance Moore, NJ Benson, and Cesare Edwards are performing elsewhere. Then throw in a Donovan Clay. And then remember they finished 9th in the MVC with that roster.

Was reminded 5 years ago today was Missouri State's homecoming game against Northern Iowa when the Bears lost 29-6 in front of a homecoming crowd of 6583. MSU held a campaign launch event elsewhere on campus with John Goodman and others in attendance. Was the most neglected I had ever seen the program. Couldn't blame the school much during what turned out to be a 1-10 year. Pretty amazing where the program is today.

Good point. Imos pizza automatically makes MO the worst state in the midwest.
