We continue to experience isolated heavy showers which may lead to localised flooding from surface water and small watercourses, particularly across Dumfries and Galloway and Scottish Borders today. Flood Alerts are still in force. Visit beta.sepa.scot/Flooding

@curranjc @metoffice Hi James, I’m tagging @metofficeScot for you to see if anyone’s able to get in touch about this. For info, MO Public Weather Service (UK Gov funded) issues National Severe Weather Warnings used by all platforms, but Meteo is the current commercial weather provider for BBC

Thoroughly inspired by @RebeccaCarrotte sharing her #STEMM leadership journey to Antarctica as the pre-dinner speaker at the #SnifferConference and catching up with @StewartProdger and others #FRS24 - see videos below ⬇️

This is extreme uncharted territory, folks. Look at Farson's water camera on North Esk for last 18 hours. A lull in rainfall, but next band coming. Use Sepa Floodline, follow council & emergency service advice #StormBabet @PSOSAngus @AngusCouncil @metofficeScot #Flooding

Enjoying some peace and calm before three days of national Flood duty from tomorrow. Thinking of the poor people of Cork and the rain that’s heading Scotland’s way #StormBabet

This year, it has been great to recognise the collaborative efforts of some of our partners across the UK with the inclusion of names from some of our partner organisations in this year’s #StormNames.
