Localised flooding from rivers and surface water is expected on Thursday and Friday due to heavy rain and snow melt. Eight regional Flood Alerts are currently in place across South West, North East and Central Scotland. Rivers will rise across the day and remain high overnight through Friday. Debi Garft who recently retired as a Senior Policy Officer in the Scottish Government Flooding Team. She helped in the formation of both the @scotfloodforum and the Scottish Flood Forecasting Service.

This year, it has been great to recognise the collaborative efforts of some of our partners across the UK with the inclusion of names from some of our partner organisations in this year’s #StormNames.
