🚨Key takeaways from Jeremy Miller's @StickyBranding keynote presentation: - When you're pushed against a wall you can INNOVATE - Use technology in a meaningful way to GROW your brand - Branding is a MARATHON not a sprint - Connect with your customers when they're OPEN to change i.e. birthdays and New Years - If you're a family business TELL your story this fosters connection And to sum it all up- be helpful, be creative, be persistent, be proactive and be everywhere! #OFAgm24

@davidhoos The model has held pretty consistent and true. The percentages don't track consistently to every industry, but the philosophy of how to engage active and inactive buyers is a constant.

Many of us have heard the stat that only 1-3% of your addressable market is actually ready to buy. But does anyone know where that stat came from? From what I can find it came from a book called Sticky Branding, but I can't find any other evidence to back it up. Does anyone who has read the book know what proof it has?

@davidhoos The model wasn't based on formal research, but based on a set of trends we saw in our own data. I have been using the 3% Rule as a model since 2005 and wrote about it in my book, Sticky Branding, published in 2015.

@davidhoos The origins of the 3% Rule came from my experience in the recruiting sector. We noticed a trend in active vs inactive job seekers, and then extrapolated the hypothesis to sales and lead gen.

• Sticky brands Branding is sales If your brand doesn't sell, it's not working. Sticky branding at its core is branding principles that drive sales. A sticky brand means that customers choose you first because they: • know you • trust you • like you
