The Premier League has seen some incredible teenagers break through this season 🔥💥👶

Newcastle have not given up on Nick Woltemade – this is why #nufc telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

In losing £104.2m pre-tax, the worst results in their history, West Ham United achieved the unenviable feat of recording poorer year-on-year results on every main line item in their annual income statement. The Strategic Report within West Ham's accounts details an expected “liquidity shortfall” in summer 2026, one for which “mitigating actions will be required” in order to pay the bills. Those actions are player sales and shareholder funding. The former is preferred and prioritised; the latter will be needed if the former proves insufficient. The same section of the accounts makes clear player sales will be required this summer even if West Ham avoid relegation. What is unknown is whether the £36.5m sale of Lucas Paqueta to Flamengo in late January has removed the need to sell if survival is achieved. The accounts were signed in mid-December, so Paqueta’s departure does not feature in any of the forward-looking statements included. 📝 @CWeatherspoon_ looks through West Ham's concerning accounts ⬇️ nytimes.com/athletic/70764…

PENALTY GATE I shouldn’t even need to post about this given the great win we just got but it’s impossible to ignore given the reports that came out earlier about Woltemade considering his future, seeing these images it’s very obvious he’s not 100% happy. And who can blame him? He’s the Germany number 9 and Eddie Howe is playing him in midfield after dropping him as a striker earlier this season. And let’s be absolutely clear he’s playing as a centre midfielder NOT as a 10 despite many wrong opinions on this. That alone is disheartening and damaging to his career given his role for Germany. It’s quite baffling how the Newcastle fan base are just overlooking this as if it’s normal to sign a number 9 and play him as a centre midfielder. Imagine Sesko or Ektike doing this? It’s mental. We signed him for a record fee & Howe was absolutely clear he was the main striker. Anthony Gordon was stat padding against these farmers with ease, people will say that’s grounds for him to continue up front despite the piss poor opposition and track record over the last year but obviously this was a very weak opponent. 1 goal in open play in 13 MONTHS against premier league opposition, 4 goals in 45 minutes against a pub team - great night but it doesn’t disprove the last 13 months. Gordon bagged a hat-trick and refused to give the 2nd penalty to Woltemade, after both Woltemade & Trippier asked him to do so. We were out of sight & Gordon came across as someone who couldn’t give 2 shits about anyone but himself despite Woltemade playing a role that sacrificed for the team. Not the first time Gordon looked like he didn’t want to help Woltemade this season. The issues between the two are now clear as day. Woltemade looked absolutely GUTTED after the second penalty as seen in the image. He knows as a “striker” he’s judged on goals despite Eddie playing him in midfield. This was a perfect opportunity to give him a role up front and get more chances and Eddie still stuck him in midfield. A vote of no confidence… Nobody could blame Woltemade for leaving this summer as his career is going backwards under Eddie Howe and that’s a FACT. #NUFC

What a mad, mad game that was 🤯 Honest review - 11 v 11 Newcastle offered nothing to be fair, Villa were the better team. Tammy was offside. ⚽️ Digne should have had a red for the challenge on Murphy (was high & dangerous). ❌ 2 possible pens for Newcastle in 1st half but the 1st one wasn’t for me as Onana won the ball. 👀 2nd one possibly a pen but I’m not 100%. Digne with the handball - No words for that one! What the lino was doing in this game is beyond me 🤯 Shocker of a performance! 😬 Bizot, Bizot, Bizot what were you thinking pal, moment of madness, was a red card I’m afraid, can’t be doing that fella! 🤦🏻♂️ From that point the game changed for us. We had some minor moments but it swung in Newcastles favour in the end. Tonali not scored for ages and hits 2 bangers (one deflection) has he been watching us train 🤣 Anyway, for Villa it’s less games now and we are still 3rd with a good points gap, still going well in the UEL. McGinn & Tielemans are another week closer to returning 🤩 Tammy is looking good up top 👍🏼 All the best to Newcastle ⚪️🌑 Stay positive Villans we have a lot still to play for 🟣🔵 #AVFC #NUFC #UTV

Shearer has watched THAT half and decided to focus his analysis NEGATIVELY on Woltemade? You big idiot
