El-Sayed: Whatever you think about the right of Israel to exist, I wonder if they have a right to our tax dollars. Every time I come on CNN, you guys ask me the same questions. I'm running for senate in Michigan and in Michigan, people can't afford their basic needs. I want our tax dollars spent in Michigan, on our schools and on our health care. And the idea that somebody wants to vote to send that money away…

Do we want a politics that's rigged by corporations, by special interests, and AIPAC? Or do we want a politics that delivers for all of us, the people, so that we can climb together to the heights that we all deserve?

@benshapiro Ben Shapiro tried writing one screenplay, got mad when people didn’t like it and decided to be a right wing grifter because that was easier. No one should listen to him about anything, especially movies.

Palestine has replaced wokeness as the progressive "litmus test." Even if you're a center-left Democrat who's not particularly pro-Palestine, this should be seen as a good thing. It's a better litmus test than wokeness, since being pro-Palestine/Israel-skeptical is more popular among Americans and therefore isn't an electoral liability the way wokeness is.

Emerging take on Abdul Twitter (though not from Abdul himself) is that if Stevens beats him, progressives could stay home and let Rogers win. Abdul's put this much more diplomatically - that there are a lot of guys named Abdul in Michigan who didn't vote D in 2024 but would probably vote for the non-AIPAC candidate who happens to be a Muslim guy. x.com/bhaviklathia/s…

once you see how hard dems work to defeat their left flank, and how little they do in comparison to fight against their right, it becomes impossible to unsee.

90 degrees. humid as all hell. And the air is filled with smoke. Pain.

NYP: Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) had sexual relationships with two House staffers, sources reveal to The Post The 46-year-old lawmaker admitted to the two relationships — both with aides to Texas Democrats — to one source while a second person said they had recently learned of the romantic entanglements. nypost.com/2026/07/16/us-…

Haley Stevens isn't allowed to "coordinate" directly with AIPAC so what she does instead is put directions on her website telling them what flyers she wants to be mailed to people and when. This is a flagrant attempt to circumvent campaign finance rules, deeply unethical.

Thought long and hard about this - if Haley Stevens is the Democratic nominee, I will not be voting for either Haley Stevens or Mike Rogers in the general election. Dems absolutely need to take back the House to resist Trump’s insane fascist and authoritarian agenda (which they most likely will). Taking back the Senate would also be nice, but it’s not absolutely necessary - more like icing on the cake. We only need 1 of either the House or the Senate to block bills. Today, Haley Stevens voted to continue sending military aid to Israel, a nation that is currently committing a genocide of Palestinian civilians in Gaza. The Democratic Party needs to be anti-AIPAC, not pro-AIPAC, and it only happens if candidates like Haley Stevens don’t win in general elections. In 2024, I voted for Kamala Harris only because the alternative was Donald Trump becoming President. There was too much to lose if Kamala Harris did not win and Donald Trump did win - and we’re seeing that play out with Trump trying to rig the midterm elections, his brutal actions with ICE, and the completely unnecessary war in Iran. This time around, it’s way more safe to withhold my vote and send a message. Praying hard that Abdul El-Sayed wins the primary, then wins the general. That way, Democrats will be closer to taking back the Senate without promoting genocide. #USSenate #Michigan #NoToHaleyStevens

adeeb is absolutely right. haley stevens has spent the last week attacking abdul el-sayed's character and demeaning and smearing the uncommitted movement. and yesterday she voted with republicans to continue supporting israel's bombing of civilians. why should anyone vote for her

I'm gonna be 💯 with y'all, I'm not voting for Haley Stevens if she's the candidate
