I just got off the phone with NTSB Chairwoman Jennifer Homendy, who told me multiple investigators are en route to LaGuardia.   Two pilots lost their lives and dozens of New Yorkers were injured, and we owe it to them and their families to find out exactly how this happened. I will be watching like a hawk to make sure the NTSB and local authorities get to the bottom of this.

The chaos we're seeing across multiple airports is a totally unnecessary Republican-created problem. Democrats have proposed funding for TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard, yet Republicans -- who hold a majority in both the House and Senate -- continue to hold these agencies hostage in order to get more funding for ICE.
