@JetstarAirways decides to fully board a plane while doing engine tests on an oil leak, then take everyone off the plane after declaring it unsafe. Why not wait until the plane is declared safe BEFORE boarding it? 🫠
@VLine what is going on with the 17:29 Waurn Ponds?! Been stuck for 45 minutes. No updates. Are you serious? Keep saying 5 more minutes. VLine is not a serious organisation.
@Qantas why are you so bad now. Every time I fly the plane gets held up “waiting for the crew”. Are they sleeping? If you schedule a flight you should schedule crew for the flight. Virgin is so much better.
@StonemanJT I said it to clarify the initial tweet which appears to be misunderstood by some. I don’t want people to think I hate editions bc it’s not true at all.
this does not mean i hate editions. we all know i love editions. this is me looking around at reality and course correcting. if things change, i will adjust, but the Muse will dictate the future of ACK, not pressure from the market
@HeathTudor1@traderadio@CalTwomey The real reason for Geelong’s success is the ability to transform rookies, delisted players, and draft picks over 40 into superstars. Everyone has access to top end draft talent (Geelong least of anyone). But very few clubs can develop talent that other clubs overlook.
@StonemanJT@traderadio@CalTwomey All you need to answer is, do you win the GF without those players? If they answer is No (which it is) then top 10 picks matter, as they evidently won you the GF. Is it no coincidence four of them are within your top 7-8 players within the club? Spare me
@StonemanJT@traderadio@CalTwomey And so is allowing this trade. Except one benefits a vic team the other disadvantages sydney. Amazing how it just so happens the AFL mistakes always work out this way
@HeathTudor1@traderadio@CalTwomey So you’re saying Geelong’s success can be attributed to the club getting more out of its older players than other club’s are capable of doing? I agree! Too old, too slow right!
@StonemanJT@traderadio@CalTwomey Hahaha ah mate you make me laugh. Look at the ages of Geelongs top 10 and then you want to compare it to an average team that has some top 10 picks that are under 22? Maybe 23? That have played a handful of games? We aren’t looking at this in a vacuum
@nathandg12@traderadio@CalTwomey They can’t do as they wish… The players agreed to renegotiate his contract. It’s the player’s choice. If he didn’t like the terms on offer at Geelong he could’ve stayed at GC, or gone to Hawthorn/Essendon. It seems that holistically Geelong have offered a great package.
@StonemanJT@traderadio@CalTwomey It’s nothing to do with Geelong. It’s the fact that a club can send off a player and a top 10 pick to free up space, only for the team that gets the player be able to do as they wish with the money owed to him.
@StonemanJT@traderadio@CalTwomey Wrong my club got a trade ban for bringing in highly rated players. No way the afl would have allowed an interstate to get this. But its ok for geelong
@HeathTudor1@traderadio@CalTwomey Geelong’s top 10 draft picks in the 2022 GF side (or would have been if not F/S) were Selwood and Hawkins (both 34), Dangerfield (32), Rohan (30) and Cameron (29). So 5/23 players. All drafted over 10 years ago. It hardly matters.
@StonemanJT@traderadio@CalTwomey How can you say it hardly matters? The teams that have won the premierships over the last couple of decades are littered with key players that were picked at the top end of the draft - that’s not taking into account FS either - It clearly matters…
@MrWinn84@spy_cable@smorganism@traderadio@CalTwomey Correct - I follow the AFL, where clubs and players are treated semi-autonomously and given the power to make decisions in what they believe are their best interests. GC benefitting from surplus draft hand and Geelong benefitting from best culture.
@MrWinn84@spy_cable@smorganism@traderadio@CalTwomey Why would the AFL prevent contracts being renegotiated? That’s a matter between a club and the player. Or should the AFL negotiate every player’s contract and run all of the clubs?
@spy_cable@smorganism@traderadio@CalTwomey I mean it is the AFLs fault that the contract traded for won’t exist. Salary dumps are fine but the team taking on the salary shouldn’t be able to adjust the money owed, that’s the whole point of it.
