@eyup_io @BBCNews Are you talking about the cop or the criminal that showed no regard for the cops life or the life of his colleagues? His family is probably going through a time of it too. Yes, it’s not a bereavement, but he wasn’t the one putting lives at risk with deranged, criminal behaviour.

@BBCNews That’s just heartbreaking. Families shouldn’t have to go through this kind of uncertainty—let's hope they get the answers they deserve, and soon.

@Nigeblueboi @KemiBadenoch It’s a politically motivated witch hunt against the cop. It’s clear to all, that’s what she talking about. Calling the deceased “unarmed” is just wildly inaccurate. He was armed with a 4x4 vehicle weighing over 2 tons and was actively using it as a weapon. The cop will be fine.

@KemiBadenoch I think you will find the rules on admissibility of evidence are quite different in the criminal trial and the misconduct proceedings. Then there is competence and compellability issues and burden and standard of proof. Likely more. Do some research.

These proceedings shouldn’t be paused, they should be ended. Immediately. Sergeant Blake was already found "not guilty" by a jury. This hounding of those who risk their lives to protect us - police officers or veterans - must stop. I will end this nonsense. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@Geniustechw Ridiculous. It’s a personal choice. You can go and work if you want, then pay for daycare. Or you make grown up decisions, as a team, for one of you to stay at home. Would you be saying the same if it was a stay-at-home father? I doubt it. Do whatever is best for your family.

ICE fired “less-than-lethal” rounds at an Alex Pretti memorial and severely injured an American Indian woman’s hand. Let that sink in. They used impact munitions on people mourning the man they killed. This is state violence.

@clanmckinnon @RupertLowe10 Last I heard, British troops were there as part of NATO, correct? Are you suggesting the sacrifice of the soldiers from other countries matters less, just because there were fewer of them? What a despicable comment. They’re allies, never belittle their sacrifice!

@RupertLowe10 Quite right Rupert. It is a statement, not an apology. Clarification, if you like, for the haters and the stupid. His remarks were aimed at NATO, not our fearless warriors. Trump values and respects our soldiers and our country far more than our 'leader'.

@RupertLowe10 How about he actually overtly says, “I apologise for my comments before,” then follows it up with that statement? Would feel far more genuine that way. At the moment, it feels very much said out of necessity and wholly disingenuous.

All these crackpot ideas that are coming out of heaven knows where and goodness knows who will do nothing to improve policing. As I commented in this piece for @DailyMail: "I am genuinely astonished that, of all the crises facing British policing such as collapsing recruitment, appalling retention, failure to get the basics right, deep-rooted cultural problems, and a serious leadership deficit - the Home Office has decided that the answer lies in forcing police officers to hold a Licence to Practise. As Police and Crime Commissioner, I was present at a meeting when this idea was discussed a few years ago along with senior police leaders, a notable policing think-tank, and a major consulting company. I challenged it directly then, and I challenge it now: how many frontline officers were ever asked whether this was needed, given that police officers already hold a warrant card? I am deeply disappointed that a small number of powerful, vested interests appear to have persuaded the Home Office to pursue what is, in reality, an expensive, bureaucratic distraction. This is a total waste of money and yet more evidence that British policing has drifted dangerously away from the priorities of the public. People do not want more regulation, more processes, or more box-ticking. They just want competent, effective, professional police officers keeping them safe. If a warrant card, rigorous training, and robust vetting are not enough to guarantee that, then the problem is leadership and accountability - not the absence of yet another licensing scheme." -------- My prediction: Some people are going to make a fortune from what comes out of this White Paper, including consultants, advisors, retired Chief Constables, and senior police ranks etc. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…

@aj_inapi 100 UK marines schooled 1500 US marines in the art of warfar not too long ago in a single mock battle… Yes, 100 vs 1500!! It’s about quality, not quantity. US marines care more about looking like one and shouting, “SIR, YES SIR,” than actually getting the job done… Take note.

Europe: Greenland is sovereign territory. Not on the market. End of discussion. Trump: Everything’s on the market. I’ll write a $700B check and drop six figures into every Greenlander’s pocket. Fast. Clean. Done. Europe: We don’t need American money. Still not selling. NATO: Push this further and you’re out. No alliance cover. Trump: Fine. Cut us loose. Take our 5% contribution with us. Let’s be honest — without the U.S., NATO is a museum exhibit. And those two sled dogs you call defense aren’t stopping anyone. (Pause. Silence. Calculations happening.) Europe & NATO: Greenland remains Danish… but the U.S. can operate freely there. Military, logistics, Arctic access. Whatever you need. Trump: Perfect. Then I’ll keep the $700B, skip the payouts, and secure Greenland and the Arctic without buying the deed. Europe: …Deal. Me: "The Art of the Deal"

Trump is badass deal maker. President Tinubu and African leaders should be taking note. After everything, Trump ended up with: 1) Denmark has to keep paying the population of Greenland $600 million per year. 2) USA gets sovereignty over whichever parts they want for US military bases 3) USA gets mineral rights 4) China and Russia aren't allowed in Greenland 5) Cost $0.00

@johnnymaga That’ll be the same agreement that’s already in place, yes? Someone clearly pointed out that the EU could (and would) obliterate the US economy (overnight) with bonds (google it) if he tried to take Greenland by force…? This was the most dignified retreat available to him now.

NATO rebuffed Trump in his quest to acquire Greenland, so Trump showed up to the World Economic Forum, achieved a deal on Greenland through force, and then made his own NATO. Just incredible stuff.

@Zazzy_100 @CopCrime He didn’t kill anyone, try reading the story first. Judge threw it out straight away for good reason. Also, do a quick google search about speed limits for police vehicles, they don’t apply. How about people get back to blaming criminals again, we’d all be better off.

@Zazzy_100 @Moose_IT_ You didn’t read the story, did you? I’d suggest you read it first, then consider if your post was appropriate or not… The criminal he was pursuing killed someone, not him. This is why the judge threw it out the way he did. Should never have seen a court room in the first place

Here Are 5 Uncomfortable Facts Showing How Bad Europe is compared to America: 1. Mississippi, which is the poorest state in the entire country is now wealthier than Europe's top economies - Wealthier than the UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain. 2. European spending power is collapsing. Disposable income for the average American is now 80% higher than UK or French citizens, and 50% higher than German citizens. 3. European counties have stagnated. Nvidia alone is worth more than Germany, France and UK stock markets combined. In a fun and zippy twist, Nvidia is worth more than the entire Canadian economy. 4. Europe has the lowest fertility rate of any continent. Using the current trajectory Europe will cease to exist in 100 years due to the failing fertility rate. 5. Europe is not competitive in anything related to high tech. Not blockchain, crypto, robotics, AI, space technology or drones. Absolutely nothing. So, when Europeans say that the United States thinks we're better than they are, they're right. We do.
