🚨 Massive tornado in Brazil. A powerful tornado tore through Rio Bonito do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil, yesterday, leaving at least five people dead and over 430 injured. Winds reached up to 250 km/h, flattening much of the city and leaving what officials described as a “war-like scene.” Around 80% of the urban area was severely damaged, with widespread power outages and disrupted water supplies. Emergency teams from across Paraná, including Curitiba, were deployed for search and rescue operations, and a field hospital was set up to treat the injured. The tornado, confirmed by meteorologists as an F2 event and possibly an F3, formed from a supercell storm, marking one of the most destructive weather disasters to hit the region in recent years.

Vietnam: The powerful winds from Typhoon Kalmaegi (Storm No. 13) blew the roof off a home in Tuy Phuoc Commune, Gia Lai. A family of four, including an elderly person, is waiting on the front porch for help. Rescue teams are trying to reach them, but the storm’s winds are still too strong. 📹 Via: Insight Sài Gòn

As Typhoon #Kalmaegi continues to pull away from Visayas #Philippines all eyes are on invest 90W currently simmering away well to the east. Guidance is extremely aggressive with this and once again PH features heavily in possible landfall discussions. We'll obviously cover it 🌀
