@USAmbUN What a shameful post about one of the most remarkable, courageous and humane of all Western public figures. You make a mockery of all notions of justice and free speech by imposing horrific sanctions on her. You abuse the term "anti-Semitism" in your post.

This fawning celebrity profile of antisemitic bomb-thrower Francesca Albanese manages to ignore all the ways she's sabotaging the UN's mission of peace, from trying to debank Americans to eliminating their jobs, all just for doing business with Israel. She even calls Israel a “threat to humanity.” This happens under a UN banner that Americans fund — so we sanctioned her for doing us harm. POLITICO's @DaniellaCheslow and @KarlMathieson (who just deleted his account for antisemitic tweets) unethically reached out at the last possible second and claimed they were just doing a story about the sanctions. Why is POLITICO running cover for this anti-American, anti-Semitic zealot?

@StewartWood 3. because it brings forward the time for paying the huge decommission liabilities, of which Govt pays a big chunk (in proportion to the tax raised from each field).

@StewartWood 2. It's really for industry to judge whether there are enough reserves left, but the clear answer is that a viable industry could be maintained for another 20 years. There are no sensible reasons for not supporting it's survival. Shutting down early is a financially insane policy

In the Tory years between 2010 & 2024: seven rounds of licensing for new oil & gas fields, hundreds of new contracts issued. The result: about 36 days’ worth of energy output. theguardian.com/business/2026/…

@DalrympleWill @BBCNews Finally today after over a month of silence the BBC website finally posts a story about the daily slaughter, robbery, sabotage and injustice perpetrated by settlers and the IDF in the West Bank with the bland headline: "Palestinians warn of expanding West Bank settler violence."

Usual pathetically cowardly & uncritical coverage of Israel's war crimes @BBCNews. Reports the displacement of a million people almost as an afterthought. "Israel says it will take control of large buffer zone in southern Lebanon" bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@P_Kallioniemi It's not just Trump. It's also Vance, Hegseth, Rubio, Tulsi, RFK Jr, Kash, Bongino, Marge, Boebert, Gaetz, Kellog, basically the entire top brass that is in power right now. Russia took a country without firing a single shot.

Friends, For the last week, my and many other pro-Ukrainian accounts have been attacked by bots. Probably Russian, because they contain names written in Cyrillic. Their goal is clear – to make the voice of Ukraine weak and hardly noticeable. Therefore, each of your shares, likes, and reactions will is a great favor and a boost for pro-Ukrainian accounts. I am grateful to everyone who, despite all the turbulence and challenges, stays with us, helps and supports us. Thank you!🇺🇦

🚨HORRIBLE: Dr. Ahmed Al-Namnam was executed by Israeli forces shortly after his release. He had been kidnapped from the hospital and held for 10 days by soldiers in Jabalia northern #Gaza. Just moments after being freed, he walked a short distance from the soldiers, who then opened fire, killing him instantly.

I’m a lifelong anti-Communist, anti-authoritarian dissident who has been honored at the institutes and libraries of Truman, Churchill, Goldwater, and Reagan. When I endorse Harris, you might question the assertion that she's a "Marxist". Trump remains the clear & present danger.

Russia is gradually ramping up its daily attacks with Shahed drones and missiles, still using Western components to do so. In October alone, over 2,000 Shaheds were launched against Ukraine—almost every single day. Such a massive number of Shaheds requires over 170,000 individual components that should have been blocked from reaching Russia. They come from companies in China, Europe, and America—lots of small but constant contributions to Russia’s terror. This ongoing supply chain highlights, yet again, the urgent need for the world to step up export controls on special components and resources. Russia must not be allowed to circumvent sanctions that were imposed long ago in response to this war. Sanctions must increase and be effective. Every scheme to bypass sanctions is a crime against people and the world. These very schemes also enable Russia to strengthen regimes in Iran and North Korea. This is a global threat, and only global, unified pressure can overcome it.

Hybrid American/Trump flags are a bad sign that the state has merged with the Leader in the minds of people. And the message in Trump television ads is one of a more refined fascism, which is what I discuss here.

Scenario: Trump is elected. Trump immediately cuts off funding for Ukraine's defense, NATO (US allies) are in turmoil as Russian troops start to mass at Poland's border. Poland and other countries call for a US response, they are ignored. Meanwhile Trump again starts a trade war with China, imposing heavy tariffs not only on China, but on US allies like Canada and the EU. Food prices in the USA skyrocket. Several incursions on Polish territory by Russian Troops takes place. NATO decides to move into a defensive posture against Russia without US backing. President Xi of China sees the USA as weak for not defending a NATO ally and moves it's NAVY into Taiwan's territory - a land invasion seems imminent. Trump threatens China economically, but since he's put such heavy tariffs on China, it's meaningless. China invades Taiwan - Trump does nothing. Taking a hint from China, Russia moves more Troops onto Polish land, Putin knows Trump won't do a damn thing - Trump's Putin's buddy. NATO and Russia go to war without the USA. Meanwhile in the USA, jobs are being cut because of the skyrocketing costs of goods, social unrest is at it's maximum. Angry people march in the streets demanding something to be done about the economic catastrophe that is happening, and they are met by federal troops as Trump declares a state of emergency and martial law is imposed. Democratic Senators and Congressmen are arrested by Trump loyalists, and there is nothing anyone can do about it because MAGA owns the Executive Branch and the Judicial Branch - the legislative branch is now meaningless. People are arrested for speaking out against Trump - the Constitution is nullified, and in place of it a new Evangelical Theocratic State is installed, which gives the president unlimited power and names him as "Gods Messenger". Fuck around and find out.

John McCain and I didn’t always agree, but he understood that some values transcended parties. He knew that if we got in the habit of bending the truth to suit political expediency or party orthodoxy, our democracy will not work. John McCain had character. That’s what I think about so much these days because it’s so different from what we see out of the Republican nominee.

There is now a distinct and monstrous possibility that the presidency will be taken by someone who loses the popular vote by many millions, even a landslide, and yet gains power; someone entirely without moral compass and wholly indifferent to the distinction between truth and lies. As many correctly say, without hysteria, this represents a baleful tipping point in the history of American democracy. It is hard to know who is more reprehensible in this situation, the mountebank Trump himself or his enablers, either cynical or myopic or both, within the GOP and beyond, who, mark my words, will rue the day they lent themselves to his scoundrelly authoritarianism. The righteous cause of Ukraine will be lost; tariffs will pump inflation; fossil fuel free-for-all will advance the irreversibility of calamitous climate change; the federal civil service will become a satrap of the presidency; -and of course history itself (the result of the 2020 election) will be prostituted to Trump's malignant egomania. But history will not be kind to those who ushered in this American disaster. There will be a 21st century Edward Gibbon who will bury them in richly-merited ridicule and contempt.
