1860s, colonial British in India began brutal killing of Indian Dogs. Millions of street dogs were killed. 2026 Supreme Court has also ordered almost the same thing in the name of aggressive dogs. Then Dogs were electrocuted, beaten, poisoned, cut, hanged, drowned in the Bay of Bengal This lasted for over 100 years normalising cruelty on dogs thereby converting dog worshiping country to dog haters. Stray dog issues should never become a battle of humans vs animals. These innocent voiceless souls are not the enemy they too deserve safety, compassion, and a right to live without cruelty. What we truly need is a balanced and humane solution. Strong sterilization drives, proper vaccination programs, waste management, and responsible feeding can protect both citizens and animals together.
