The 4 home nations are the oldest in the world. It's why those 4 nations play as independent nations rather than a Team GB. We've had rivalries for 150 years, with each nation having iconic wins over the others. They don't like us, we don't like them ( in football). Long may that continue. When it's the Olympics, it's different. But in football, fuck em. Let them wear their Argentina shirts, we'll continue to wear one and one only. The oldest, historically ( founders) and currently ( Premier League) most influential football nation on earth. England. 🏴

A former pupil wrote me a letter as he comes to the end of year 7 telling me of his successes and achievements in his first year at secondary and thanking me for helping him become a better person and im reading it with tears in my eyes.

I’m watching Pedro Porto’s second and enjoying the Tottenham boy do it.
But none of the football at this tournament compares to weekly skill level in the Premier League, though. And it’s a world away from the Champions League.
As I said a few years ago to you, Ade, the World Cup is like the Eurovision Song Contest of football. Something that everyone can enjoy across the nations, but miles away from the best the industry has to offer.

Has been wonderful for us, stayed fit ( suggestions he was injury prone before he came from Leicester) and if United have legs around him he'll be a super player for United too.
