Imagine this rule in Melee where Fox has no stage counterpick or ban rights. Would he still be the best character?

@LiquidHbox Unfortunately this will be ineffective because Ult players don’t counter pick stages anyways and will simply go back to PS2 repetitively

Supernova has implemented one of the first ever character-specific ruleset nerfs in Smash singles history. Steve players will not be able to counter-pick or ban stages versus a non-Steve opponent. ❌ I think this is tremendous progress in a more fair ruleset. Steve mains should be allowed to play, but to pretend that the character isn’t grossly overpowered is also in bad faith. This slight nerf to Steve seems to be a fair compromise to me. Looking forward to see how the experiment plays out.

@isohelsgarden Idk if it’s the graphics/animations or just the fact I haven’t watched the game for 90000 hours like melee but I feel like in melee you see the bullshit happening to you clearer than rivals. Rivals is just a lot of ??? Why did I get counter hit.

does floorhugging in roa2 work the exact same way as crouch cancelling in melee? or is it egregiously stronger cause the way rivals players talk about it you’d think it is the worst thing ever 💀

@isohelsgarden Legit the only way to learn is to get shot 90000000 times. more often than not melee’s lack of buffer makes falco laser effectively stun people for 20% longer because they are afraid to try and move too quickly out of it and have nothing happen. Fictions video on it is good

I started playing melee 3 months ago and i still cant beat falco laser genuinely need to do a coaching session with someone because im so sick of this fucking bird bro i can power shield okay but i should be learning how to beat it with take laser options. i just cant tho 😭
