For those curious about how the Artemis II crew is sharing photos on social media during their journey, Reid said the following during his February 20 weekly update: “…all four astronauts will hand their social media over to our respective agencies… so while we’re up there, our social media coordinator for the astronaut office, Camille, will be posting… so we will write the content, we’ll give her the ideas, we’ll send pictures down while we’re on our way out to the Moon and back, and then she’ll do the posting on the various platforms… it’s us posting, but not directly, because we will not have internet connection while we’re out there on the Deep Space Network.” instagram.com/reel/DU_whd5Dp…

@JulesSouren @adafruit this is the image that Deep Think generated to demonstrate its output, the QFN corner pads don’t have as bad of an intersection in the actual footprint created but we did need to push the four rows out about half a mm. The overall dimensions, pad sizes and order were (..) correct

Look Ma, No CAD... We fed datasheets to Gemini Deep Think and it spit out production-ready EAGLE .lbr files... paste mask segmentation and all. ESP32-P4, MAX44009, LT3652, ES8311. It calculated every pad coordinate, segmented the paste mask to ~40% coverage so the chip doesn't float during reflow, and grouped schematic pins by function. No footprint editor. No GUI. XML out of a chat window. 📄➡️📦 blog.adafruit.com/2026/02/14/fro… @GoogleDeepMind @autodesk #deepmind

A German blogger traveled to Africa to retrieve his stolen smartphone A man from Aachen had his phone stolen. He activated geolocation and discovered that his iPhone was in Africa, 5,000 kilometers away from Germany. He then promised his Instagram followers that he would fly to Senegal if his post received 10,000 likes. He ended up getting three times more likes than needed, so he had to keep his promise. The man hitchhiked to Brussels and flew to Dakar. In Senegal, he was advised to avoid the dangerous area where the phone had been tracked, and the police refused to help due to the inaccurate geolocation. However, the blogger continued searching with the help of a local resident and soon found his phone in an electronics store. After a long argument and a threat to report the seller to the authorities for selling stolen goods, the man finally got his iPhone back.

@PoppyRider14 @oops4041555 you r Missing the Point that GPMI is to replace HDMI and Not USB c. the company also hast to convice all other manufacturers to use their new connectors because elsewise we end in the old Lands of "a different connectors for every Phone" --> thats why we have consortiums for that

@oops4041555 You r missing the point. If a company comes out with a new connector they don't just have to convince the customer it's worth replacing all their old cables but they also have to convince the EU to let them try. We got to 90% usb usage without laws. This law will hurt innovation.

GPMI will never be used because there's legitimately nothing that requires 500W and 192Gb/s It also has a Type-C Variant which halves its capabilities which is still more than enough. It's not "Illegal", you're bullshitting people for interaction bait because there's already specialized stuff for people who genuinely need what GPMI offers. I wanna see what the cable looks like. I wanna see it implemented, and used to its fullest extent, and compared to its Type-C counterparts. Because I guarantee you, you're either going to need a fucking CHODE of a cable to handle all the bandwidth, noise reduction, as well as the asinine amount of power flowing through it, or you'll be better off using different solutions for your shit. If China develops a better standard, it will be adopted on devices that need it for a functional use. Stop fearmongering for the fuck of it. Type-C is enough and amazing as it is.

How do you think AirDrop works? Really. Really. Really.... What's the radio protocol utilized to achieve fast peer to peer communication with a random other phone? Does BT offer that (fast...) Does WiFi offer that (peer to peer w/no base station...) yeah... Part of what's required is the AWDL protocol itself ( reverse engineered a few years ago). But AWDL itself relies on some niche WiFi features (eg Active Monitor Mode) that I believe are not implemented in all chip sets. Apple has been willing to pay more for chipsets with this feature since forever; other companies not so much.

Sharing moments shouldn’t depend on the phone you have. Starting today with the Pixel 10 family, Quick Share now works with AirDrop, making secure file transfers between Android phones and iPhones more seamless. This builds on our commitment to cross-OS compatibility to bridge the gap between ecosystems.  We built this feature with security top of mind from day one. Learn more ↓ blog.google/products/andro…

@asofficial_on Probably because that Windows doesn't have some drivers out of the box, this is the advantage that Linux has with being open source in which mediatek stuff works straight away. (Not trying to fanboy linux here)

@Daisuash @asofficial_on because the USB Adapters still use realtek chips and Not Intel? also Happens with Linux too, which is why opnsense explicitly recommends Intel nics and explicitly tells you to Not use realtek

@asofficial_on This is Windows problem, it doesn't matter what brand the card is. It even happens with USB adapters.

Zucker sollte besteuert und nicht subventioniert werden. Im Vereinigten Königreich hat es deshalb eher weniger Zucker in prozessierten Nahrungsmitteln.
