A Hindu, Muslim and sikh whose parents all came over to Britain as immigrants, met and had a Xmas lunch to celebrate the birth of Jesus month and join in the festive season. One of these women's son is called Muhammad. Now the most popular name in Britain. They all lived happily-ever- diversity-is-a-beautiful thing after.

Went to Palestine Camp at SOAS. Students held a moving tribute to journalist Shireen Abu Alekh on anniversary of her murder by IDF. I attended her commemoration service 2 years ago as Secretary of the NUJ Parliamentary Group. Now 140 journalists bern killed in Gaza since October.

Two years ago, journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was killed by Israel. No one has been held to account. Without justice there can be no peace. They kill journalists because they don’t want you to know the truth.

Two years ago today, iconic Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was murdered by the Israeli state. They then lied and lied about it, waited for attention to move on, before admitting it months later. Don’t forget her, don’t forget how Israel lies about its crimes

On #NursesDay we celebrate the NHS nurses working under incredible strain to keep us healthy. Nurses are the backbone of our health service. With 40,000+ nursing vacancies across the NHS, our government needs to start acting like it.

Israel's deliberate starvation of Gaza is a war crime. Today I told the Government that if it now refuses to fund UNRWA, it will be aiding and abetting Israel's war crimes.

Without trade unions we wouldn't have: • Annual leave • Sick pay • A two day weekend • Maternity leave • Protection from workplace discrimination • 8 hour working days • Redundancy pay • A minimum wage • Health and safety in the workplace • Workplace pensions
