Across the street, I watched him set the car seat down on the porch, reach into his pocket, and pull out a sleek, brand-new iPhone. He answered on the second ring, his voice dropping into that familiar, warm tone I had trusted for five years. "Hey, babe. Just drowning in emails at the office. Miss you." I stared at him through my windshield, my voice dead, flat, and entirely hollow. "Look out the window, Tom. I want to see the baby."

My husband lost his phone at a music festival over the weekend. He was devastated about losing all his photos, so when he went to work on Monday, I decided to surprise him. I logged into his cloud storage account from our home computer to see if his photos had auto-synced before the phone vanished. They had. Hundreds of them from the weekend. But they weren't festival photos. They were pictures of a beautifully decorated nursery, a smiling golden retriever, and my husband holding a newborn baby. The final photo was uploaded just ten minutes ago, captioned: "Bringing him home today.....

@casualclubguy There are better versions the logo but Roanoke Country Club is one of the founding members of the VSGA. The club dates back to 1899 but moved and and had a course built by A.W. Tillinghast in 1919/20.

It seems crazy to me that a restaurant like @JimmysSeafood would lean into being MAGA in a majority Black city and located in a majority Hispanic neighborhood. Why even go political as a business like that? We're done with them.
