LAKEVILLE: Near 21320 Holyoke Ave. – Around 2:45 p.m., a 2023 Robinson R66 helicopter crashed in a field near the Airlake Airport and caught fire. Fire crews responded and have since cancelled paramedics, though it’s not yet clear how many people were on board or the extent of injuries.

Blurry but an example of facility fee for our urgent care. On this bill they call it a clinic fee. The physician fee is billed separately. Typically, the physician fee is $110 or $168. As you can see, United Healthcare won't touch the facility fee so falls back fully on patient.

@JamesWardenMN Interesting, but is it surprising? I guess I expected that ambulances have to make a lot of nursing home runs when residents suffer health problems. Or does the report allege that better NH staffing would prevent some of these problems? I'll have to look it up!

This is why I have no sympathy for nursing homes 👇 1/7 of our city's FD calls are medicals from nursing homes. A report on our FD specifically called them out as a major driver of volume. Their refusal to hire adequate medical staff offloads costs onto other taxpayers. @StribJO

@covid_clarity @StarTribune Thanks for the clarity. The first transmission estimates were inaccurate based on faulty assumptions fed into the models about how SARS-CoV-2 spread. Not sure you can say the same about the mitigation impacts. Some things the models said would work actually did, research showed.

As written, the reader is left to believe that the models gave generally accurate and helpful guidance for mitigation policy. The models were wildly inaccurate in their estimates of mitigation impacts and transmission. They were an unmitigated waste and embarrassment. The only real purpose was providing political cover for faulty and unprecedented state actions.

Minnesota is using a $17 million federal grant to learn from the pitfalls of COVID-19 forecasting in the last few years and to improve its predictions for the next outbreak. startribune.com/to-improve-pre…

@covid_clarity @StarTribune Now how decision-makers interpreted and used the results can be debated! Few remember that one of the early models predicted that nursing home restrictions would achieve almost as much protection as broader societal actions.
