I've only recently started making a serious attempt at playing with local models so it's a bit early to say on my end It's certainly gotten to the point where it's useable and can whip up some ok code if that's what you want to do with it, so there is potential This is kind of the biggest model you can run without some 'serious' hardware though, and it's far enough behind Claude that for most people I'd just say "get a subscription to that". Especially for talking to about esoteric/literary/scientific topics I'd much rather talk to claude. Of course local does have the advantage of being able to churn through essentially infinite tokens and keeping your data fully private, so theres that

@Strife212 It is optimized for Apple silicon. You shouldn't expect speed by installing anything other than Mac.
